The only method to meet your criteria would be to just have an open sale from day1 with not even a requirement of a season ticket.
Or else how would you cater for someone who’s had a ST for 20 years solid and has now fallen on hard times and didn’t buy one?
How would that person get an away ticket?

The club is in danger of alienating some of its most loyal and longest serving supporters and does not even know the damage it is doing to its own supporter base

 

I wouldn’t go as far as that. There had to be a scheme in place but the way they are drip feeding tickets daily is pathetic.

 

The membership scheme had its drawbacks. but was better and fairer than this points scheme and worked for home. away and cup games plus last season brought thirty grand in to the club

 

We have a hardcore of 500-1000 fans who regularly trawl up and down the country and those people need to be looked after.
What they do for big cup games I don’t care. For me they could just sell to anyone like they did with Chelsea. That way if you want a ticket badly enough you’d get up early and join the queue earlier or even camp overnight.

Isn't this connected to my earlier post? Those that buy tickets get more points, as the same people buy tickets every match then their points go up and the points per band increase meaning that those that were unable to buy tickets due to smaller allocations remain at a disadvantage and lower on points until the larger away allocations come in?

 

It's what I've been wondering. Trouble with new systems and trying to make them work is that you can spend so long trying to make it work and sorting out the process that it's easy to forget that the customers need educating on how it works and constant education too!

Plus the new system could actually increase the income due to people buying tickets directly from the club so they get their cut. And people buying tickets to other games for the points

 

If they awarded, say, 10 loyalty points for every year of season ticket purchase then that person would still get the points for all the years they've supported, even if they don't currently hold a season ticket. Obviously they wouldn't get the points for this year's ST, but would for any pay on the day games attended.
I accept that it's not possible to please or cater to everyone. I just think that , when it comes to big cup games in particular, longevity of support is equally worthy of recognition as current away attendance.

Looking back at the sales of away games so far, the bands seen far too high. How can we be getting to season ticket sales for games with only 600 tickets available. Are they only reserving 400 tickets before putting it out to free for all. I would love to see what these bands are. For both Barrow and Hartlepool I was not expecting any tickets to make it to below the bands as set out.

 

Usually after the game. My points for Sunderland were added after the game, my Hull points haven't been added but my Donny points have.

 

My points for Barrow have still not been added.
