    Has his family situation been sorted then? Wife not working in South Korea? Doesn’t say much, only that he is backing and confirming two of back room lads have left

    Good Short was terrible, our fitness has been poor for a long time. Whilst he was at the club we went our first 12 games of the season unbeaten, hopefully he's a good luck charm.;)

    Things seemed to go downhill on the fitness and conditioning front after Nick Allenby left the club and then Lossau and we couldn't find a way to arrest that slide. I had little confidence in Chris Short when he took over. During his tenure, the team usually seemed to run out of puff towards the end of the game and we seemed to pick up a lot of minor strains and pulls many of which should have been avoidable. It was interesting when Grayson joined how he quickly changed the pre-match warm-ups which Short had led by involving more coaches from the Academy in the process. I guess he saw something which needed to be remedied quickly.

    I hope Robert Lossau hangs around and can get the level of the squad's fitness back to where it was under Nick Allenby. We are going to need it!

    Totally agree @Dennis@Dennis, I think it was really noticeable how unfit some of our players were last season. I really regret letting Nick Allenby go, big loss. Let’s see if the new man can work his magic

    Exactly. I assume that when Parky left us, he knew the value of an Allenby type who brought a different scientific approach to the fitness and conditioning of the squad and therefore took him with him. I see Lossau as somebody in a similar mould to Allenby and hopefully he'll be able to bring about the changes on that front that we will need so much this coming season.

    No, it was for family reasons. His wife was working in South Korea at the time. Hopefully she's either got a job over here now or he's got a divorce:D

    It also looks like we have a full time analyst joining the coaching staff. Wasn't the lack of an analyst one of the many reasons Grayson gave as to why we weren't good enough for him?
