Is he? I won’t deny that his teams produce fantastic football, but he’s managed 3 teams, each of which have had by far the biggest and best squads in their league, and an unlimited chequebook at City. Spend 50m on a centre back and he has half a bad season? Never mind, here’s another 80m. Lacking a quality reserve left back for the Carabao cup games? Here’s 60m.
Other historical managerial achievements are far more impressive. What Klopp’s done is much more impressive. Let’s see him take over Spurs or Everton and win the league.

You mention Klopp, during his time at Liverpool he's spent £30m on Mane, £37m on Salah, £35m on Chamberlain, £70m on van Dijk, £53m on Keita, £40m on Fabinho, £56m on Alisson, £41m on Jota and now £36m on Konate and despite a PL & CL doesn't really have a lot to show for it in 6 years.
I'm assuming your argument will be the net spend, but City do also make quite a lot of money on players who are nowhere near the first team (£21m this summer on Nmecha & Ilic, £13m last season on three more nobodies).
It's all about opinion, but for me Pep is a genius manager and the best ever. -
He hasn't had that journey most managers get where they have to start at smaller clubs and prove themselves so it makes it hard to know how good he really is. It's like Zidane, there were times where he was linked to the United job and everyone was going about what a great manager and he has done great at Real but his own job is at Real which isn't the best guideStop hovering to collapse... Pep has spend over a 1 billion pound and is going to spend 120-150m on Harry Kane to add to that.
Sorry, give Klopp, Ole 1 billion and they will do the same.
Oh, have you forgot that even with nearly 1 billion spent that he hasn't won the CL as yet for City and lets not forget he was brought in to win the CL.
As for Klopp and the spend. Liverpool's net spend is really low and not when you look at Jack bloody Grealish who hasn't even scored an international goal then signing Jota a 45m for example is a bargain.
Pep is a good manager but his spending as he does is ruining him. He's no genius. Far from it.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -

Clearly not seen Jota play then?
Ok, Utd paid 75m ish for Sacho I think that's a better deal than 100m for Grealish if I am honest. Don't you?Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
