Any other Line of Duty fans out there really disappointed at the reveal of H and in general how low key and undramatic that final episode was?

I was expecting a dramatic car chase and shoot out to reveal who H was and lots of twists and turns but..........

Don’t know if you do Twitter but there are some funny tweets about last nights finale.
Me and wife looked at each other at end and both were thinking the same WTF.
6 series and it finishes like that.

    Kinda funny seeing the reaction.

Over the last few weeks I've had so much shit from people because I haven't been watching it (I watched the first series with Lennie James and that was it). So it's great to see the same people so disappointed with 'the best thing on tele' that I'm 'crazy not to be watching'.

Mother of god, who are these people you allude to? Certainly not me as I have never discussed LOD with you-so that narrows down the list.
Up until the last 10 mins or so this programme has been a real joy to watch. I have really enjoyed the twists and plot turns. The last 10 mins or so however were dull and rather disappointing.

It was the last one but although it may have been a disappointing ending they also left it open. Carmichael or the Chief Constable could still be in the frame. The other thing is the more shootouts and car chases they have the less believable it becomes. There was a retired Chief Inspector on the radio this afternoon who said he had spoken to ex colleagues about Line of Duty and they all agreed that they had got it just about right over the six series. He said if it was too dramatic it becomes fantasy rather than a drama which makes you think "maybe".

It certainly was a big anticlimax. It 'definately' feels like the door has been left open for another series. Hard to believe they would end six excellent series with such a whimper.

I was pretty happy bearing in mind I thought last weeks was the last episode and ended up swearing at the telly. I was sure it was a series of 6

The weakest series of the 6 in my opinion. It has left it open for potential more series though.

If it was the last series, then it has ended on a very flat note, much like Game of Thrones and Lost before it

Anybody else think it unusual that James Nesbitt played such a small cameo.....I think there may be more to this, like another series

Nesbitt's character was killed off, so it's hard to see him appearing in a future series, if there ever is one.

Nesbitt was previously quoted in an interview about Bloodlands that he was surprised that Jed Mercurio hadn't ever cast him in Line of Duty. Then he popped up in Series 6, but only as a photo on an ID card. His character was then seen as an unrecognisable corpse on a floor, which will have been played by an extra. So Nesbitt was never personally involved at all. I think it was all a joke at Nesbitt's expense by Mercurio.

I think the clue might be the "unrecognisable" part ;)
