Signings clearly a touchy issue for McCall at the moment going off that interview. To be fair I believe that the club have attempted to sign the players mentioned in the T&A article, but i'm a little bit dubious about the alleged reasons why they haven't signed for us. If somebody is reluctant to drop down from league one to league two surely the standard protocol is to offer them a bit more money to sweeten the deal?

Passion in a post match interview means SFA if it isn't displayed by the players in a game. He's not gonna pass on his passion by osmosis. Way too defensive towards the end there yes. Fair play to the lads for asking the questions.

 

He wants a player who can play rb, cb and cm all in one apparently.
I feel for him really on transfers becasue he's being thrown under a bus. I can't imagine their is much leadership going on above McCall and with only Kenny really as any kind of support then what else can he do?

 

He wont walk but that was one of the worst Interviews Iv'e heard since Hopkin.

McCall isn't saying this though to his players. It's not about go on lads you haven't had game time.

McCall himself say some games we will play this formation and these players. He is confusing himself and hasn't a pattern of play as he says.

He doesn’t like criticism at all.

We need to shift the negativity within the squad and bring in the no nonsense players Stuart doesn’t seem to want. It’s ok wanting to be pals, but it’s blatantly obvious some of those at the club are just not good enough. Instead of paying off our best striker, he should have paid off Donaldson, BRE, Guthrie and Ismail. Those 4 would be lucky to pick up another club. We’ve seen their limitations and it’s not what we need.

 

But Clarke isn't better than Doyle or Vaughan……… last night annoyed me because we are at home, massive incentive with Liverpool dangling, playing Lincoln I say Lincoln and we got mullered 5 nowt at home..... I think we played Preston last year in a crap cup and still played ok.... Preston are miles better than Lincoln..

Agree he was asked about the performance and gave the only answer/response he could after that display.
Go out and win the second half an old football cliche but fair comment, unfortunatly Lincoln had done enough first half to allow us to come at them and catch us on the break, didnt Fleetwood use similar tactics the other season when beat us 4 - 0 at Valley Parade.
With regards the interview he's one of us and was hurting I thought he was bang on, I was critical of his team selection and still dont understand why he made the changes, but with regards the formation again he was correct if your players dont do the basics it doesn't matter what system/formation you play.
Again I thought his reply regarding signings was fair comment he, I believe he was questioning if fans believed what he was sayin, as some seem to doubt what he is saying certainly on social media platforms and that was the thing that got him annoyed not the fact that fans are concerned about players not signing as yet.

Again what more could he say about the players we are trying to get in, we cant tell Arsenal (as an example) we want the players in now they will tell us when we can have them, maybe they are hoping a team in a higher division will come in and we're the last option could anyone blame the loaning club ?.
Lets see what reaction we get from the team he selects on Saturday and if its anywhere as poor as last night we have problems but let's not kid ourselves FGR won't be a push over at their place.
