Typical City. So much brightness about us, but we don’t score goals and the opposition need 1 chance to score. 1st goal comes after a loose ball from the back into a dangerous area, second one - every man back, but we leave a lad completely free on the edge of the area. We don’t have the necessary approach to go up. And I’m afraid an awful lot rests on Hughes.

Just dithers in the final 3rd and constantly gets the ball taken off him.

 

I hate our defence.

 

That was a poor free kick not beating the first defender criminal !!!.

 

I think a lot of our failures are down to the recruitment.

You can't go up if you've only got 3 players who can score.

Stop the front 3, and we have absolutely nothing outside of an occasional goal from Smallwood (who is off form).

The rest of them are costing us by offering absolutely nothing going forwards.

 

Plus smallwood is as fast as a sloth crossed with a tortoise and not even that fit. Jogging around most of the time.

 

Our CM is a real problem.

Both I'd say. We have limited players in key positions.

Only Walker seems able to play the central role in that front three and only Smallwood is able to play in central midfield meanwhile we have too many wide players. Squad is not balanced.

 

Cook needs to start giving their CD a hard time he's been second best for most balls and needs to get involved.

 

Did tell everyone at the end of pre season that we were about the 8th best team in the league when people like @Sergio Pinto III was talking utter nonsense because he’s on Sparks payroll.

We lack quality still but hopefully we can change that in January to make sure we finish in the play offs.

 

Everytime it gets up to Cook he loses it, needs to hold up the ball far better it’s a big issue. Unless the 3 behind him play literally next to him he offers them no time for them to get up and support them. A big reason we looked better at the end of last season in this formation than this.

Chapman is a massive, massive let down.
