Sound interview and sensible approach for him and his young family. Glad he is staying. Could be used as an impact sub with his pace and direct approach. But improve on his first touch and he could actually be a contender to start games.

Are they the two who walked out before the show?

I didn’t watch WWE for 15 years but a few months ago noticed highlights were on after a champions league match so gave it a go again and I was hooked. Even though it’s scripted it’s like a combat soap with better actors.

Vince won’t take people walking out of the show lightly, you don’t get that rich suffering fools and he knows that the fans make him the money. If he ever fancies an English football club…

Sutton apparently turned down interest from league 1 clubs in favour of signing new contract with us

 

He does have some assets that you can't teach and if utilised could be an asset to a league 1 club. He has a workrate similar to Lewis O'Brien, pace to burn and the ability to go past people. Also willing to put the foot in when needed. That said, it's all about bringing those assets to the table and I'd love to see him given the right back spot on a permanent basis. I think in that position where you're not as exposed positional wise like are in midfield is ideal. Link him up with a decent winger and a midfield that brings full backs into the game and you'll see the best of him.

 

Despite not exactly being great for us during his time here barring a few brief decent moments for some reason I quite like him and think somewhere in there with the right backing and direction there is a good player, so I'm content with him staying around to see if MH can find it, however the claim L1 clubs were interested I just don't see at all, I think it was just a hardball angle from his agent with regards negotiating his new deal with which he has to carry on the tale, with this in mind I do hope his new contract is that of an average squad player because as it stands with his performance to date that's exactly what he is.

 

This 'project' Sutton and other signings have talked about wanting to be part of - is it just another way of saying the aim is promotion without actually saying it (so there can't be any accusations of failure if it isn't achieved), or is there more to it?

 

Regardless of actually saying the aim is promotion is irrelevant I'd say, as every season we're in L2 Bradford Citys aim always has to be promotion, the problem last season was the way it was put out by the club as though it was nailed on.

To be fair how many were surprised when Swansea came in for McBurnie? I'm not saying Sutton is a world beater but sometimes a manager sees something in a player that triggers interest.
