As nice as those attendance figures sound, we rarely get anywhere near the official attendance we announce.

It’s standard for clubs to give the figure of tickets sold rather than actual bodies inside the ground. When we sell season tickets at such a low price, a lot will buy them knowing they won’t make it to every match. Similarly, with children’s tickets so cheap, people may buy them knowing that their child(ren) may only attend a handful of matches, yet their season ticket will be included in the official attendance figures every home match regardless.

On some occasions, the official attendance has been laughable in comparison with the amount of empty seats visible when inside the ground.

Still, it sounds better when attracting new players if we keep telling them about the official attendance figures, so I’m not exactly going to discourage it ;)

Agreed. We've really shot ourselves in the foot with the last 2 results. Had we won them, we could have been looking at getting the 1st place spot on Friday.

I think it's different every week though, last week I thought Portsmouth were a right off and Charlton weren't even contenders. Now it seems to be between those 2. Hopefully it switches back to us come the 4th May as I really don't want the heartbreak of the Play-offs.

How would it sit with the owners if you failed to be promoted this season, have they the finance to have your club in league one for another season, the play offs are a one off you either turn up on the day take your chances or miss out.
Bradford City fans unfortunatly know that situation and where it can take the club.

I trust the new owners. They said that when they took over they expected it to take 2 seasons for promotion and that's how they've financed it. However, they weren't expecting the crowds to be as high as they are (they were expecting 17,000 ST Holders at a push, there is 24,000), and there's been our trip to Wembley in the Checkatrade Trophy. He said that if it takes over 2 seasons then we'll likely need investment iirc, however we can definitely afford another year at this level. I think we'll get it right next season. We had a complete squad overhaul, owner change, manager change, coaching staff change etc. this season so it must have been hard for scouts when they have nothing to go off in terms of ways to improve the squad. Next season we'll have that.

We have self-made Billionaire Juan Sartori (who is the Son-In-Law to the owner of AS Monaco's Multi Billionaire owner) who holds shares in the club, happens to be a personal friend of Stewart Donald. Sartori has been in the Roker End (singing section) with fans and all 3 shareholders were in attendance at Trafalgar Square on the Saturday before Wembley engaging with fans and having a drink. The owner of AS Monaco has also been at a few of our games and was at Wembley. Stewart Donald also does regular podcasts with unofficial fansites to keep the fans updated on whats happening, he's taking a very transparent approach.

Definitely getting ahead of myself as most football fans do but it is exciting times.

Interesting that it's based on squad size of 31 for BCAFC
Average value per player £235k, which is 8th highest, more worryingly is that if you take out Butterfield's value then it drops to £168k per player, 15th highest.

    Mediocrity in depth?

Owners of the club drinking with fans some of our supporters would have been distraught that they where mixing with supporters.

You cannot really give that site any credence reading some of the valuations put on our defenders.

If the "inaccuracies" are consistent across the 648 registered L1 players then the comparisons stand.

Indeed but if its that way out on every club then its completely undermined its purpose IMHO.
