Quite an interesting listen. They have us at 4th (Wyke staying permitted). I won't share the rest of the table, otherwise there'll be no point in listening.

 

Haven't listened to all of it (yet) but they've certainly put some effort and research in to it.

Did anyone notice who the Racing post has tipped for promotion? They seem to have a little more knowledge than some others?

 

TBF - Until our 'forad' line is sorted, I suppose anywhere between 12th and 8th is expected ?
IF we retain Wyke - plus one more striker, then our / my expectations rise to a top six ?
Two strikers and dare I wish for top two ?

 

It's a bit odd to hear of us being fancied to do well across a number of different sites/podcasts as many of our own fans on here have been pointing out that we are seen as a joke and a laughing stock in the wider footballing world.

I'm confused.

Paddy Power only have us evens to finish top half. I haven't checked any other bookies but that seems a decent price. The squad we've assembled should certainly be looking at play offs at least so seemingly an easy way to double ones money. But obviously have to wait 9 months for it to pay out! I've lumped some on anyway alongside my annual get promoted flutter!

Don’t normally back us, silly superstition and all that but I think we’re better than a 50% chance of finishing top half so i’ve had a bet as well. Also taken us at 18/1 in the handicap betting: Sunderland are scratch, Barnsley have 6pts,City have16. Others are available etc...Gamble sensibly!!!

 

I'm expecting little agreement but a version of events that many won't agree with....

Btw, speaking to Donny and Pompey fans today and independent of my beliefs, they both believed Wyke was a better option over Doyle. In fact the Pompey fan was of vast admiration of Wyke.

Btw, Eoin Doyle 40/1 top one league goalscorer with Andy Cook at 28/1 , Ched Evans at 28/1, Billy Clarke at 25/1 (wow), charlie Wyke @10/1 whilst Brad Pitman is 7/1 favourite.

Just had a brief look, but they appear wrong with lots of teams. They have us down at 16th. Do you know what their overall success rate is on predictions over a number of years?
