League 2 playoff final

It’ll be a nice watch seeing who will be joining us, the champions, in L1 next year

 

I have said promotion through the play offs as a last resort but if the above is right that is unfair on the two teams concerned, the Bank Holiday weekend were great.

 

Didn't they piss about with the play off finals a few years ago to accommodate the Champions league final?
What's the reasoning this time?

Premier league finishes a week later this season (17th May) for some reason so FA Cup final has to be pushed back a week to the bank holiday weekend. Our season though finishes a week earlier than league 1 and Championship so for the actual teams there isn't any difference in terms of time to play the semi finals and prepare for the final. This happened 2 years ago as well so seems that something has changed in the international calendar. I know UEFA take control of Wembley 2 or weeks before the tournament starts but that wouldn't be a reason for why the Premier League finish a week later which has caused the knock on effect.

EDIT: To realised that this season the premier league have a winter break which is probably why they are a week later. Assuming the winter break stays this could be regular although dates will be messed up again from the 2021/22 - 2022/23 season with the 2022 world cup.

Don’t think I’m fully over that Millwall game yet so anything other than the play offs again please!

 

I don't see it going as too many of the top profile managers would rather extend it than get rid of it. They can moan about it all they want but i doubt they are wanting to book it early so they can get the cheap Ryanair tickets so i'm sure any extra costs or inconvenience is made up by the extra TV money they'll get from every game in that round of fixtures being on TV which will be the reason for the delay so that the TV companies can set out the perfect schedule by them.

At least the hotels won't be booked up that weekend..... Camden it is then.
