Harrogate are full time pro's as are the vast majority of the National League.

The only difference in the leagues is money. Championship clubs can probably afford the tests for Covid and to finish behind closed doors. Majority of league one and league two definitely can’t

Think I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again. We need to get the infection rate down to as low as possible and then we must track and trace and isolate every single new case we find and their household. That way we know where the virus is and we know who’s got it can’t spread it. At the minute it is probably out there everywhere and out of control. Until we have that then crowds cannot return.

Also a new seaons brings with it new sponsorship, new ticket deals etc. So income comes from that

No chance in brings in Sponsorship at the same levels. No chance.

New ticketing deal? What are them?

BCD doesn't work for div 2. It's an extremely poor standard.

The cost for not finishing the season will cost clubs more in the long term. So now season ticket(games refund), sponsorship refund, TV refund, wages and no income coming in.

In terms of the App I agree it will be good if it works correctly but we still are testing and only 50% in IOW have downloaded it. We need are 60-8O% of the population to download it for it to be effective and what's app haven't even got that.

We would still need the testing and we can't afford it now. So what makes you think the league will in September.

Next season isn't happening for div 2 and clubs WILL go under.

Wonder how Championship clubs will be hit.

Most already lose a fortune every season.

Most will have key assets e.g. Birmingham with that 16 year who Utd, Liverpool want. Leeds have Phillips, Brentford have 3 good forwards.

PL clubs won't spend big in the summer and could dip into the championship plus I can see some tv rights for the Championship increasing.

Championship situation is different to div 2 club with no player assets or income coming in.

So if league one do the same and vote for no relegation, what happens to Swindon, Crewe, Plymouth and the play off winners, denied promotion, or do we have a 28 club league 1 and 20 club league 2.

I understand City were one of only 4 clubs that voted for relegation

Tough. The table was done by PPG and they finished bottom.

It's an utter disgrace if they're not relegated.

Hearing that one of the reasons why Stevenage won't be relegated is because no promotion from non league.

I will be extremely argue of 2 clubs are not promoted and Stevenage not relegated.

Now hearing Cheltenham who would be in the play offs complaining already and saying they need support to get testing for the play offs to take place. It's nuts!! For me the forfeit games of teams that couldn't play makes sense.

League One are now looking at extending the play offs to keep all the teams happy without playing out all the games.

if they had done that in L2 we would have been in the play offs

Sorry mate don't follow. Extend it how?

I just believe with Cheltenham already moaning about cost of testing and wanting support I do believe forfeiting results for those that can't play would have been the best around.

Div 2 should have waited. Don't see what the rush was. Understand non league but league 2 didn't have to make calls so early.

Because they ask for over the market rate for that player. If you can go and buy a player abroad of similar quality for a fraction of the price then the English player is overpriced. We see countless players with potential get stuck during the important years for their chances of developing into PL level players get stuck in the Championship or below because of the price tag attached to them.

Someone like Jordan Rhodes for example. Scored loads at the majority of the clubs he was at and kept getting linked with PL clubs but clubs were constantly asking fairly silly money for him. Amounts that ultimately he would move for less than (although still silly fees) to an EFL club. Teams choose to go abroad and pick up players who played at higher level at clubs with better training setups for similar or less money. By the time Rhodes got in the PL via boro being promoted he had missed his chance to develop into a PL striker as he was having to learn that level at what should have been his peak (and boro couldn't afford to give him that time)

Look at someone like Dan James, been a good squad addition to United but for almost £20mill he is really raw and technically is lacking in a lot of areas outside his pace.

Wonder what that would mean for the conference?
Be a shame on hgate town to miss out.
I never said they deserve to go up .
I just stated it'd be a shame to see the miss out on the chance of promotion.
I quite often watch harrogate as I'm a harrogate lad, think they're 3 or 4 points behind and were due to play Barrow at home so it could be very close.
They've put a lot of effort into getting promotion including building new stands to fit into league regulations.
Hope they pull through this shit .

As it will be a shame for any club who falls because of the pandemic

L2 have been given a lot of media credit for yesterday, apart from the no relegation issue which the FA should resolve.
Rochdale come out with a stop the season comment today as have Rotherham who believe if it goes to the expected vote L1 will also finish.

    2 clubs with agendas.

For me div 2 didn't come out with any credit. The relegation issue needs dealing with then we will judge league two.

No one from league 2 has come out and explained how next season will take place... because it won't for them.

They ask what they think they can achieve the best deal for the selling club, no sympathy for Premier League clubs many have certainly paid way over the odds for foreign players Man U have made some very poor choices in the past Falco, Di Maria, Pique, Forlan, Veron, Tailbi,Tosic, Bebe, Anderson, Kleberson, Depay,
as I posted you have directors of football, chief scouts and others who get very well paid for making the correct call on transferred players
