    Not sure if anyone heard Friday evening’s West Yorkshire Sport Daily (Radio Leeds) programme. Usually hosted by Noel Whelan, but tonight was led by Killa. If you haven’t heard it, it’s well worth a listen.

    Killa certainly doesn’t hold back with his criticism of Rahic. And Tony McMahon was a guest too, so really worth getting their perspective on what went wrong from last January.

    To be honest, it would not surprise me to learn it was something just small and meaningless. Life is full of people who push certain buttons to gain a reaction, yet it often happens that a small and petty point is the one which creates the the biggest upset ....... purely because it IS petty.

    The same Tony McMahon that (allegedly) went awol after he didn't get his move?
    The same Tony McMahon that (allegedly) was a ringleader in persuading players to pretty much down tools from January onwards?
    The same Tony McMahon that (allegedly) was part of the internal bullying scandal that saw certain staff members leave the club?
    The same Tony McMahon that (allegedly) persuaded Charlie Wyke to jump ship during their car sharing trips to training?

    That's what was reported by the club and press not seen anything apart from rumours that he threw his toys out of the pram and refused to play unless you can post it ?

    Killa said that both Tony and Doyle were told that they wouldn't be getting offered a new contract in January. I believe McMahon did a interview confirming he hadn't refused to play. Hardly a surprise that he wasn't happy that he was told he wasn't really waanted here and then wasn't allowed to go somewhere he was actually wanted and able to secure his future.

    Hardly another surprise that this happening to two popular members of the team had an impact on how the team was performing. Killa openly says it was toxic and that it's somehow lingered.

    No, he just said he was still unhappy about how it all ended and that we had a good squad that just needed a couple of additions to bolster the squad in the January.

    It was more what Killa then said about McMahon’s situation that was the teller. After the interview with McMahon, Killa explained that McMahon (and a couple of others) had been told he wouldn’t be allowed to move to Scunny, BUT would also not be getting another contract from us in the summer. He said the whole atmosphere was poor because as a player you need to have some security and by telling players in January that they would be getting binned, was hard to take.

    I know it’s a long program, so just skip to 34mins 40secs and pick up the next 5mins or so, (or listen from 19mins 15secs if you want to hear the interview with McMahon first).

    Surely it is better to know in January that you are going to be out of contract than finding out in May. It would give your agent more time to sort something out.

    If the club hadn’t told them would it have been better?
