    Correction it's a CBE. Thoroughly deserved compared to some on the list who get "honours " just for doing their job or giving donations to the Tories. It's about time this nonsense was scrapped.

    Great news and well deserved, I wonder why it couldn't stretch to a knighthood, some right (shall we say characters) in the recent past have received knighthoods.

    He's a normal lad from Oldham. Why would he want to be in the same company as the likes of Rees-Mogg, Fabricant and other entitled weirdos? He has been Sir Kev at Headingley for years just like Sir Geoffrey! Means more than London gongs. :)

    Totally agree but should we be surprised ex members of Parliament get these honours, the whole system is corruption and not fit for purpose. When it's televised you see the old glimmers fast asleep, I believe they earn around £350 for just attending, gis a job as Yosser would say I can sleep with the best of em :mad:.
