For me, it was essential he returned with Stuart and I’m very pleased to see him back at the club. We’ve sorely missed a ‘management team’ since they both left. In today’s game, it’s vital a manager surrounds themselves with a team they trust and can bounce off. Parky did a brilliant job assembling a team around him, and think Kenny is as important to Stuart as Parkin is to Parky. For me, I’m much more confident of Stuart’s appointment along with Black, as I would have been if Stuart came solo.

Really great to read this article and have a team at the helm who just get what our club is all about.

Agreed, every manager we’ve had since the summer of 2018 has had to have Drury as their assistant. Imo this has been a big problem, Brian Clough struggled without Peter Taylor, they play a huge role very underrated by some. Bowyer would still be in a job if he had a good coach and tactician at his side, but it’s partly his fault he shouldn’t of agreed to take the job with Drury as his assistant at least Stuart made sure he got who he wanted.
