    Highlights here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46163893
Composed finish for the first and good run & controlled finish for the second. The third a proper poachers goal.
I bet a few league clubs will be looking at him now. Probably not us though as we'lll end up with Bert Krappstain from you know where. Not that i'm saying sign a player after a few highlights but it has to be worth a scout going to have a good look at him. A player from a sixth tier club can't cost that much.

I quite agree. It's OK to do a 'Luke Medley' - However, this guy scored three .......... Couldn't have been a fluke afternoon, could it ? As you say, got to be worth a closer look.

He's a young lad and you're saying his record isn't that good? What was Charlie Wyke's record like before his time at Carlisle?

He has had loan spells at a whole host of non league clubs, without much success, eventually being released by MK Dons.
Yes he had a good game yesterday, but he definitely isn't what we need right now, in my opinion

It's right to look at the cup, though.

If we're serious, we should be looking to buy lads like Chuks Aneke. 6'3, strong, good age, good pedigree, but I imagine he is way out of our price range.

Need to start seeing us linked with different kinds of forwards.

Did Wyke rattle around the non-league before signing for Carlisle? I’m not sure of the comparison? Maybe you should have compared him against Speight or Hannah instead?

Going through a bit of a purple patch this season 7 in 10 games for MK Dons, they'd want good money for him I would think, but he would be the calibre of player that meets Edins model still only 25.
Plus MK Dons are looking good for promotion 2nd in the league.

No we don't need anyone who looks to have a bit about him. I also looked at his past, he's only 22 and still got time on his side. I'm not saying sign him as a starter but from a few short clips he looks way above the clown on our bench. A striker with a bit of swagger, power & pace. When did we last have one of those? But with I know f00k all controlling the finances a sixth tier striker will be too much to ask for.

Gboly Ariyibi isn't getting a look in at Forest, and we need wide men in the worst way - January loan would be good. Tough to beat the competition though.

Sorry, but my standards for City are higher than this, and we need to be aiming for much better in January.

I find it funny how someone mocks the clubs strategy(which is fair enough as it is garbage) but then suggest we sign a player off one good cup game, who plays at a terrible and has a crap record to boot. It's easily as bad as a strategy that consists of signing German Sunday league players or a Ross Hannah who scored a million goals in Sunday league.

    Tha's fair enough Idle.

I didn't say sign him immediately in my first post, nor did I say sign him now in my second. I said send a scout to have a good look. The sixth level here must be more competitive than the German regional leagues.

Well we are doing so well as it is some of us on here could possibly do better. LOL

Not much different having Abbott really? Think I’d rather @Säure@Säure than Greg...!
