    I knew the squad was
Bang on.You say about a dominant centre half.BRE IS 6 ft 4 and should be that player yet looks frightened to death whenever any comes near him.Hes like a pissed giraffe. All legs and the turning circle of a cruise ship.Just look at the 3rd goal yesterday.Once he realises he has to go confront the attacker his legs are all over the place.Think National league level is quite generous.

20+ goal striker? Clarke and Novak might not get that between them in the league, the other three won’t get 10 between them. Unbelievable and unacceptable that McCall thought they were good enough.

Knew this squad was poor but when you see it written down and our starting back 5 and front 3 are being scored at an average of 5 or a generous 6 out of ten then that really hits home how awful we are.Wheres the defensive hard man the nasty so and so in midfield, the striker who winds up opposition defenders. All missing and WE knew they were missing months ago

Are people seeing a different Callum Cooke to me?? No idea what he offeres apart from the odd decent pass every few games. No better than Pritchard for me.
I don't rate Watt as highly as others too. Again has flashes but doesn't really offer much going forward and his tracking back is awful.
Connor Wood is not the same player this season. Would expect him to leave in the summer.

i still think even if the squads not good if your players are 110% fit and harass the other team and don't give them a second on the ball you still have a chance, pretty much the way l$$$s play, but i don't think Mccall has ever had a team fit like that

I'm a little bit worried that if I say anything nasty about the players I might have to explain my views "face to face".

Therefore all of the players are excellent, 10/10, with unblemished careers to this point and I am extremely lucky to watch them. Keep it up boys.

I could run around all day and harass the opposition but I’d still be shit at football. A bit of ability helps.

Ash Hunter has ability and pretty much ran the show yesterday, as did Darron Gibson in the same fixture last season. If you analyse that team yesterday man for man its no real surprise we got a good dicking. The only two players who have played any sort of games at a higher level are Evans and Donaldson, one who is unfit and no one knows what his best position is and another one whos legs have gone. The rest of the team made with youth players making their way in the games, players whos game tally is mainly non league and others who are barely league 2 standard. And we wonder why we are 19th in league 2? The problems are staring us in the face, some choose to ignore.

Yesterday was just the latest in a long line of terrible performances during the last 3 years, spanning multiple managers and players. And the reason is simple; we’re systematically broken as a football club. It’s been patently obvious for a while, to most. And yet, when anything like that perspective is offered, certain individuals seek to take a higher ground and deride people for ‘moaning’, as though that’s somehow the cause of our regression, or a simple case of people being ‘fickle’, hiding behind keyboards.

The rot at this club is set deep and can’t be resolved easily or quickly.

The playing squad is nowhere near good enough, largely because our approach to scouting and recruitment is a shambles. We have no ambition or direction as a club, everything we do is reactionary. But I’ve reached a point of complete apathy - I wasn’t even angry watching that shower yesterday. It’s all too familiar and predictable, and the vast majority of the squad clearly aren’t good enough for League 2 football. I said it weeks ago, the Jacko squad - as bad as it was - was better than this one. Those that do have some ability, are being exposed by massive gaps in quality where its needed. For example, Staunton has some potential, but the defenders he’s playing alongside are garbage, lacking in anything like leadership qualities and his development will suffer as a result. We have a manager who has a record of not being able to deliver success at this level, we have an owner who’s completely absent, we have a CEO who doesn’t want to be here. Is it any wonder that we’re in such a mess? I can’t even be arsed analysing/rating anything from yesterday, because its just the surface of the problem. This club is in very real danger of going down this season. And we’d never recover from that.

Don't worry about it mate. If he can't work out that Stuart McCall is an absolute fraud of a manager then i wouldnt expect his ability to talk face to face to be up to much.
McCall was a good player for us over many years. We can all agree on that. As a manager hes turgid. I want him sacked tomorrow.

Think it's time now that everyone understands the club has serious problems.

No, head in the sand! The warning signs have been there for years as you rightly say.

    The club is failing badly

Two wins against extremely poor opposition and a draw against a team that should have been out of sight at half time had the happy clappers salivating at the mouth when in truth it just papered over the cracks. Yesterday was back to normal with our frailties cruelly exposed. That trap door is getting closer and closer.

The on pitch squad mirrors the off pitch squad
Both going nowhere without a massive shake up
Until then our proud league status is very much under threat

Ideally. But whats more important is that we get a properly capable, ambitious, CEO whose backed to get stuck into the size of the task at hand

Not his greatest fan to say the least but whilst he is capable of throwing money at us (whether he is or not is another matter) he is not the highest priority to be replaced
At this moment the whole future of the club depends on the new CEO get that one wrong again and the future is very bleak
I would hope that either himself or someone trusted in one of his other companies is far more involved in the selection process than we are thinking, left to Mr Rhodes we will only get a "clone"

Agreed, but if this new CEO is not properly funded then he will soon be found out- it is by his deeds not words.
It cannot cost a fortune for the likes of harrogate/newport and other former non-league teams to have a decent scouting network.
But it will need patience for a few years as City build a squad from scratch.

Which brings me to the final part of your excellent earlier post- "And we'd never recover from that"
At least half of the teams in L2 are former non league or have spent a fair few years out of the league like Lincoln/Leyton Orient/Grimsby.
They have been able to compete, recover and make it back.
I mean its not like our current goons even want to spend the current salary cap, must be waiting for a rainy day.
Stuart himself must be ashamed of his current squad, 3 half-time subs speaks volumes.
