Yes, you wanted to read that SR is going to be here next season no matter what and that there is some a longer term plan in place that they can share and reassure the fans - is JR staying on for one. Being 'self sufficient' next season fills me with dread if we do go down - and what sort of team and quality of players might we be supporting next season?!

If we are going to be truely self sufficient then I’d worry about the players we will have even at this level.
We have lost £2m this year and been shit.

It is uncertain atm, but I feel confident that Julian will give the best advice to Stefan both from the club's financial situation and what is best for the club. My guess that there will be a pragmatic approach, I don’t expect the budget to be slashed, it will be trimmed due to the fact that we have players who we might not be able to move on in the summer. Stefan is an honourable man according to Julian and others. He never intended his investment to be a short term investment, so I don’t anticipate he will cut and run, not only will he lose a lot of money, but his statement when Rahic left was of serious concern for the state of the club. He has invested a further £2 million to steady the ship, these are not the actions of a man who is looking to leave the club. Without Stefan’s willingness to invest in our club, and try and put right what Rahic did to our club, we would be sunk. I am grateful that the football gods have sent us Stefan, it may not be how he or any of us anticipated it would turn out, but that is life.

Therefore my thinking is that there will be discussion towards the end of the season, as to what we want to achieve for the next season, depending on what division we will be in. If we stay in league 1, I expect a stabilisation process, ie not promotion but maybe a mid table finish. If we do get relegated then I do expect us to want to bounce back straight away. They are already wanting to encourage more fans into the stadium, I think it is right that we have a short cut off point as the majority of tickets will be sold by then and they will have a rough idea on budget, p,us by that time we will also have a good idea what league we will be in.

Ah but , no, not going to say it. I just wish that more people would understand that pumping money into the club doesn't necessarily mean pumping money into transfer fees. BTW, thanks @Onside@Onside , good post.
