Not as daft as it sounds. We've done it before - And O'Connor can score a goal or two

 

In fairness, our 3 CB's are average, at best Keefly.
They can each raise their game with a 'Davies type CB' amongst them.
That tells me that City are lacking a quality CB who is also a leader.

Frankly .... I would like to see O'Connor in place of Akpan (in MF). O'Connor will challenge, and can score a goal or two. However, we then have a problem with who replaces O'C at CB ?

 

Fully agree Rod. Watching 'live' or highlights doesn't matter - the players appear to be playing 'Hide and Seek', rather than football.

Hence why we urgently need about 3 CB's.

Akpan has looked ok recently but I would have O'Connor and Akpan battling in out for a DM spot.

We need leaders and certainly leaders at the back. We will 100% go down if we don't address this problem over the next 2 months.

 

Very true. O'Donnell is vocal ........ But he can't be expected to organise the whole defence whilst managing his own game.
I've (stupidly, perhaps) expected more from both O'Connor and McGowan, in performance and leadership. I feel so let down in both areas. It's so damn hard when a teams confidence is knocked - but when most individuals start to doubt themselves - Then results will only go one way.

 

I'd go with that comment @Old city man, Julian realises if he can get the likes of Hendrie back on board it will be seen by fans as a positive, where as Edin says its my way or no way which will alienate most people who have had involvement in the past with our club.

 

Fordy takes a John Hendrie thread and makes it a 3 centre-back thread. He makes it a 3 centre-back thread because he wants to talk about O'Connor but realises he started to look a bit obsessive.

John Hendrie column is fine but comes a bit late in the day for me. Change has started to happen and suddenly Hendrie puts his head above the parapet. John Hendrie is one of those in a unique position at this club. He speaks - people listen. He should have been voicing his concerns and motivating change earlier.

 

Get that plan revved up!
