    Awful for the lad, wish him the best for the future. As others have said we won’t see him again now.

    Not his fault, but him among others have been a costly mistake. Another to be grateful to Rahic and Abbott for.

    I'm not convinced. 2 is a sought after number for a right back and given to Mellor.

    Hawkes was 28 last term.

    Riley may turn out to be good player. The issue at the moment is that he's a reserve on what I'm presuming are first team wages. Factor in that we still need to strengthen 2 or 3 positions and are now relying on outgoings and I'm not sure we can accommodate him.

    Bowyer will probably get rid of him the first opportunity he gets.

    Not many are going to agree but on what I saw yesterday thought Riley was better than longridge at left back but one game means nothing needs to show that if/when he gets a chance. Would prefer Riley over wood at left back if needed as wood is better more forward.

    Problem is, you're overating Atkinson by using 'ok'. You'd have been better off saying, a bit less shit.

    As with all of last seasons failures, offload is the priority. If we can't, I sense Bowyers a good enough man manager to get something out of him.

    I think you always have to learn from your mistakes, so for me I cannot forget last season. However I agree that this is a fresh season and hopefully some of the players can reflect on what went wrong and their role in one of the worst seasons I can ever remember. New season and new start, lets see how it goes. I was unable to get to the game on Sunday but reports on here and having been to the Guiseley game, suggest that Riley and Gibson could have moved on and progressed. Can they sustain it and improve further?

    Agreed in Vaughan in particular he's got a player around him who's been at the level he probably aspires to be at and just maybe Vaughan can get him going in the right direction. Last season he looked like a fish out of water but he could come good. There must be talent in him just about mentality for him now.
