Anyone think he’d be worth a go further forward? Midfield as cover? Seems confident on ball and we seem to be playing 3 in Cm.

However he is good cover for LB but on a wedge.

 

Yeah, it's a possibility. But he'd need to convince so many of us, Bowyer included, that he's worthy of such support. Under Bowyer, I'm happy to give Riley til Xmas to prove his worth.

Agreed in Vaughan in particular he's got a player around him who's been at the level he probably aspires to be at and just maybe Vaughan can get him going in the right direction. Last season he looked like a fish out of water but he could come good. There must be talent in him just about mentality for him now.

I think this got renamed the 'Mark Marshall' award.

 

I was impressed with him Sunday, he played with confidence on the ball, tackled well, kept his position well, and when he did get forward put some good passes in. He looked a different player, plus he is a young player. I am happy to go with him if Bowyer thinks he fits in well as a player and his attitude is ok and not disruptive to the team, he may well turn into a good asset.

 

Just saw this on the official website. Interesting a comment such as “will remain until at least the end of the 19/20 season” is made.

I’m not necessarily wanting him away. I’d be more than happy to see him fulfil his apparent potential and show us what the hype was all about. However strange that a comment that is essentially saying his future for this season is guaranteed with Bradford City, is surprising to see. Basically, if someone came in for him he won’t be leaving.

Think you're looking too far into it. It's not guaranteed just confirming what his deal his. Sure if a decent move for him came in he'd be off.

 

I read it as. If you want him we wont be paying a chunk of his wages for you to have him. wed rather keep him

 

He stayed about two years too long at united, don't think he's played even 10 senior games yet.

He may be young but he's very inexperienced for a player of his age.

 

You're a very forgiving lot aren't you. Just a few weeks ago you wanted them all away - no if's no buts. Suddenly in a few short weeks Riley has suddenly learnt how to be a footballer (in friendlies at least) and has weedled his way back in. Not for me. Happy to give those that put their heads above the parapet week after week another chance. Those that cowered away because it all got too much can push off. They all know who they are.

 

Yes Mr Hippo, many are forgetting that there's a lot of crap still this club that are responsible for us finishing bottom of the league last season. I want rid of them, unfortunately they're going to stick around another 12months.
If they play I'll have to support the charlatans, however I'll neither forgive nor forget.

Could be wrong but I think fans wanted rid of the higher earners to mainly be able to fund new players coming in.

How do you know he cowered away? He barely played a game and seemed to be grouped in the naughty boys list until Bowyer came in and tried to get everyone back involved. Think fans understand that if there is a decent player in him its better for us to have him than not.

 

Spot on. Can any of us really comment for sure as to whether he is good enough or not? He’s played about 5 first team games, albeit no worldy performances there. However from the pre season reports I’ve read, he’s apparently performed well.

If there’s a player in there that can positively contribute to our playing squad, rather have him than not.

 

What's the situation with Colville? He played in the pr-season matches but then what??

 

Still waiting for him to sign.

Seems like one of the reasons we want him to sign is we would benefit from future compo but I don't now the delay n his side but it's gone on for long enough.

If he's not signed, then we're not paying him ...... An' he's not exactly the first name on the team sheet, is he ?
