I know but what’s his face from Mansfield was supposed to be that, we don’t need 3 RBs and only 1 DM

I know a few Benns from Low Moor. I wonder if he is related to Dean Benn who played for Avenue in the 1980s?

I can only imagine that Johnson is out longer term, or if not there are fears he won’t last the course. I would imagine Benn will be playing in the Papa Johns games so let’s see how he gets on

Not sure what folk were expecting yesterday. The main bits of business were going to be who we'd be getting rid of.
Young was the number 1 transfer and he was an outgoing along with Macky and Gilly.
It still leaves us lumbered with Oliver, so in that respect it wasn't a brilliant day.
All the other signings, in my opinion, were going to squad fillers as back up to what we already have. GA had made that clear in his comments over several days.
We were hardly likely to bring in anyone who was a 'name' when they'll be nothing more than a bench warmer.

Underwhelmed by the deadline business doesn't even come close.
Where are all these 'quality signings' (or words to that effect) Rupp?????

TBF were we promised any quality signings? The noise coming out of VP was around Young. Very little was said about incoming players.

After Rupp's visit not long ago, those were his words as such. More waffle from our leader to keep the minnions quiet.

We were promised "extra investment" to help us challenge at the right end of the table.

Apart from Sarcevic, who else looks like an upgrade in anything we had?

The playing budget has actually been reduced in my opinion and it's clearly evident in the type of signing we've had to make.

Do league one clubs usually ship out their highly rated players?

Stevenage shipped out their highly rated (by one person) striker a couple of seasons ago.

    That went well.

I wish nothing but good vibes for this lad returning to City. I have no idea of his ability or how he will cope with 16000 fans who no doubt will be wishing him well. We cannot say whether he fits the bill or not. It is just ludicrous to through bouquets at him before he has played. Halliday is our current right back so he will probably not get a look in unless he is injured.

Wouldn't be a City transfer window without an absolutely pointless looking signing.

I was no Gilliead super fan but it made far more sense to keep an experienced pro who was a well respected member of the dressing room rather than sign a 23yr old loanee without a single EFL appearance.

    Stinks of cost cutting.

He did well when he came on on Tuesday, but the way they set up gave him a lot of space on the right hand side, and it’s almost impossible to compare a team of Geordie paperboys with the hairy arsed defenders he’d be up against week after week in league two.
