Jack Tordoff

I wonder if the sponsorship deals were all his doing, and if so will they dry up going forward

 

Just reading Jack has passed he's in a better place now.

Even though he didn't know me personally he always gestured with a wave whenever we saw each other at the ground.

To and from work we drive along Sticker Lane, maybe that could be renamed Jack Tordoff Way? You have certainly left your mark on that road.

 

I don't know for sure, but he was in a care home for the last few years I doubt he would have been involved with recent sponsorship deal, I would hope our link with his company continues.

 

Reading the club are naming the Board Room after Jack.

I mistakenly thought Jack was a "Sir". Not sure where that idea come from. Though he did get both the MBE and OBE.

Not enough imho. Main stand for me.

 

But would that mean no other sponsors could sponsor the main stand if it was called The Jack Tordoff Stand ?.

 

Unless it we're called the JCT600 "Jack Tordoff" stand. Might encourage them to sponsor it forever. No objections to naming a stand after him at all, but I would love to see Stafford recognised in the same way.

 

The Specsavers Jack Tordoff stand. Yes I could live with that type of thing.
