Rupp wouldn't have a clue who David Hopkin is, however he might well be behind getting rid of Collins and getting someone with a bit more experience and actually knows what he's doing in.

I may be wide of the mark but I just can't see Hopkin agreeing to come under the terms that were insisted on by Rahic back in the summer.
That would suggest that he has more control than was on offer.
With Rahic's track record, it could be further deduced that pressure has been brought to bear. There's only one man that has the power to apply that pressure.

As to Trump, I read that he would be much richer if he'd just put his daddy's money in the bank and left it there. So not such a good businessman. Still seems we might have another ginger Scot (well Trump's half Scottish), worked well last time.

If it was Rupp behind the decision, how many more mistakes will he allow Rahic to make?

If only Rahic listened to footballing people in the first place we wouldn’t have -

1) Wasted money on Development players simply nowhere near good enough.
2) Wasted money paying off McCall and losing Black.
3) Lost 5k season ticket holders.
4) Promoted Collins as first team head coach.
5) Brought across German players who wouldn’t make Park Avenues bench.
6) Lost James Mason.
7) Lost Phil Parkinson.
8) Lost the chance to push on after Wembley.
9) Alienated the fans.
10) Gone from being the ground with one of the best atmospheres to one of anger and toxicity.

The list goes on.

 

If he lost more money than he was given you could say he has also made more money as he lost a loss too

 

Trump has bankrupted three businesses. His dad made the billions, him and his leech family live off it!. The main Trump business is run by professionals whilst money in the bank and rental income sustains the family and their lifestyle.

Quite possibly Rupp could have said 'stop this nonsense and get that chap in we met twice to do it properly'

Maybe. But for me, it's a little bit like the God delusion. A sense of need driving a belief that there is a benevolent power pulling the strings where it really matters. I can't see it.
