    Sunderland has hefty wage bills without this income.

    Shame Glenn hoping he wouldn't be.

    I've no problem with Rupp by the way. Just think sooner rather the later fans need to know a clear direction for the ckub.

    If we need to pay off say 2m and low budget to get out of div 2 or cope with div 1 then we need a good coach as a lot of players are on long contracts.

    Maybe, I am getting ahead of myself but this season has been a complete disaster from the start.

    I think we've lost our identity on the pitch. Off it no as Rhodes as got that back.

    You say this season has been a disaster which I think most City fans would agree, but then again I had a PM from someone before the season started saying he had a good wedge on Bradford City getting relegated, you know who you are :cool:.

    I'll say that yes they wanted the money. I don't question eithers passion for the club but the pound sign were flashed and they took it.

    Are you saying that Rahic wanted the club to ruin it and hood winked them & Rupp so that he could get us into this mess? I don't understand your point when you say they fooled them? He has clearly fooled Rupp but how could Lawn and Rhodes have known what would happen.

    I hate Rahic as much as the next fan but the truth is they have invested money in the pitch, the club and players. The problem is tha Rahic actually knew sweet FA about football and actually wasn't able to spot the talent. He invested the money on the playing side in very much the wrong way. The vision was right buy young talent, develop and sell on for profit but the execution was abysmal. If I remember correctly that's the vision that was given to Lawn and Rhodes and thats what he tried and spectacularly failed to achieve.

    Fan ownership is unlikely to work it's a complicated multi million pound business that has dropped in value like a stone. Rupp is a successful business man he will know that so if he does want to sell he'll have to take a massive loss. I haven't seen anything to suggest he wants out in fact he has invested in players like Payne and Butterfield who won't come cheap. My hope is that he is true to his word and wants to get us going again but it is going to cost him now. We are saddled with high earners that aren't good enough or don't have the right character and the only thing that will rectify that is cash.
