    Any news on Vaughan’s injury? just got the vibe from Bowyers post match interview that it might be another bad one. If he is going to be out for a time as well we are in trouble

    Well, Oteh did really well up front on Saturday (although he doesn't win headers) and we should have Pritchard back who can also play in that role. McCarten will be available again soon, and we were told 2 months for Donaldson (from 12th October), so our there are other options on the horizon. And, apart from the cup game we've nothing now until 23rd Nov. So it's not quite hopeless IMHO. Agree though that the lack of a clear statement regarding Vaughan is worrying

    If the gaffer has to play McCarten in the Vaughan/Donaldson role then that game becomes a must-see for all the wrong reasons.
    Would make Doyles struggles last season a walk in the park.
    But worth seeing for the comedy value.

    Sign old front players then injuries are always a risk and usually take longer to clear up

    Doesn't sound too serious. Fingers crossed.

    I wouldn't say older players are necessarily more of an injury risk but you're right that the injuries usually take longer to clear up.

    Bowyer very non-commital after tonight’s match. Said that Vaughan’s wasn’t fit for today and they’ll have to assess him towards the back end of this week.

    All in this morning T&A article I think. Donaldson has returned to training and I think I read that Palmer and McCartan have played in behind closed doors friendlies.

    We're massively missing Donaldson up front to play alongside Vaughan. Hes the one to aim at/take the hits if we're gonna continue to employ this god awful hoofball tactic. Hope we get him back soon
