    Thought it might be helpful to have a thread relating to independent businesses in the Bradford area. I guess food and drink is covered in the 'Restaurants and Stuff' thread, so this thread can cover other stuff.

    Hopefully this will be a positive thread which can alert people to local businesses that provide something different or excellent service.

    This has stemmed from a visit to Bingley today to see my folks and finding that a record shop has opened up there: Five Rise Records on Park Road just down from the chippy.

    Really impressed with it as it has a good mix of new and second-hand records. They also want to get involved with having more live music in the local area. The guys running it seemed sound and deserve luck in getting it off the ground and to be sustainable.

    Absolutely, no recommendations for anything part of the Arcadia Group or Wetherspoons for example.
