Me too. I think after these next two away games I personally will have an idea of whether I am optimistic, realistic or pessimistic about our ambitions for the season's end. From half time at Notts County I think GA has now got an idea of the way we need to go tactically to achieve any success this season. He also seems to agree with what I felt about this squad, there is plenty of quality within the squad, especially with the players coming back from injury and the probable return of Jake Young.
He was talking about not having a big influx of players in January, possibly just a couple. He will probably be looking at try to move some players on or return them to their parent club, the squad is just too big.
We have seen the big improvement in the likes of Richie Smallwood already, they all just needed giving better/less complicated tactical instructions. There is over half a season to go with plenty of points to play for.
Not that I always value Gary Neville's opinion but he has gone on record saying they were too hasty in dispensing with GA at Salford.
Let's see where we are when we board the Corn Dolly Bantams beer bus to Crewe on the 1/01/24.

 

I didn't read it either as all the adverts and nonsense on there played havoc with my ancient laptop, but reading Broncos piece I gathered some super computer has us down as finishing 5th, which obviously seems optimistic for sure, but call it relentless blind faith (again) or whatever I genuinely believe GA will have us finishing in the play offs this season. He seems to me like a proper L2 manager in which we've been crying out for ever since we've been down here. He seems to concentrate on our strengths and just focus on them regardless of the opposition, obviously there is a long way to go and many fans are still pessimistic and rightly so after so many false dawns, but I just feel GA is a good fit for us right now.

 

I do think we'll make the play-offs, long way to go and a tough league so plenty of points available to be dropped by those above us, though that 'supercomputer' also has Morecambe finishing 3rd which I highly, highly doubt given Dirty Derek has jilted them again and the club seems on the brink of collapse

 

Ah but wait a minute the have “wealthy investors” waiting in the wings , about to swoop in with a rescue bid .

I share your optimism. Tomorrow will be a better gauge than FGR of where we are really at right now. I think the players are buying into it and the tactical shift seems to suit us better. Come on lads, big game this tomorrow.
