iFollow whistling

On one laptop I always use for the game, it would only give me audio only. On my second laptop, the live video worked no problem. Not sure what happened there but no VPN turned on etc.

 

Agree , it was bloody awful. Never had that on the video feed before.

 

More annoying than a new kid booting the back of your seat all game ?
Its gunna be a long season if it carriers on.

I presumed it was just some technical glitch. Only noticed it for the first time last Saturday. Let’s see if it continues,

I’ve had tinnitus for 14 years. It’s more annoying than AK I can tell you

 

My old music teacher got tinnitus and ended up having to retire early. He said it was horrendous

 

Is that even possible ?

 

I got mine as a side effect for the meds I was given for a groin operation! It’s not as bad as some cases I’ve heard of, but it’s a constant whistle in my right ear. Means I can’t hear high pitched noises (good when Jamie Carragher is commentating) but I’m useless at detecting gas leaks from beer kegs and interference on speakers etc. My kids laugh at me when I don’t realise the alarm on my Casio watch is going off

 

Yes that City ROARRRR had me reaching for a cushion. Cringeworthy. Ok, I appreciate how much of a fan he is, but at the same time, he's a professional (in the loosest sense of the word) commentator and I don't hear others doing the same - either on iFollow away coverage, or Sky Sports. Imagine if Neville started bursting into song whenever Utd take the lead. I used to enjoy Jacobs and Dreyer commentating, because they kept it together, but tied in a few anecdotes from their City days, aswell as giving tactical insight only someone who had played the game at a high level would know. AK rarely gives such comments, and more often than not, just reacts to what Jamie is saying. HOWEVER - it is entertaining, especially when the football more often than not, isn't.

 

Horrible is tinitus. The only way to get mine under control is by using my hearing aid, that doesn't actually make the hearing any better but cuts out the constant hum in my left ear.

Me too but have it in both ears. Hearing aids just help to enable me to hear spoken sounds better.

 

I'm setting myself up here for a blasting, but what the heck. I think Andy Kiwomya has been a much improved summarizer thus far this season. Still trips over his words and people's names, but he's been succinct and to the point about tactics, individual player's performances and why they're operating well in the right areas or not.

 

Well it's bloody ironic that I didn't get it DJ'ing for 30 years, but playing football for thirty years! I never read the "possible side effects" of medication when given, but after I'd made that slide tackle which put me under the knife, and I came out with my ear whistling, I Googled the antibiotics effects, and there is was about forty lines down. My Mrs and Doctor thought I was mad, but ten years and more later, it's still here. I wish , everytime I take off or land on an aeroplane, that I get that "suck" of air pressure and deafness, and boom! The noise has gone. It's a weird one. Cannot be cured, but "can go way on its own". As I said, I don't complain cos I know a lot more suffer than me. White noise machines to help them sleep and all that.

 

Its not nice! One ear only thankfully.
