I feel like right now about the club. The problems go deeper than the sacking of Hughes but then we've known that for ages now.

 

What a sad state of affairs.

How many good games have we had this season? One against Newport. Even the other wins were a difficult watch.

Harrogate was awful and we hardly celebrated the equaliser. Followed by Walsall who were there for the taking, and Tranmere who’d lost eight in 10.

But even thinking back to last season, did we ever put in a decent 90 minute performance? We played well for half a game most of the time, and when the autos were within reach we blew it. Crewe away etc, another awful performance.

I really thought we’d cracked it with this appointment. I’m just left feeling completely fed up with the whole situation.

 

It is not so much his all round play, but his all round attitude that I find annoying. He is not a team player, things go wrong and he immediately looks round for someone else to blame; sulks like a baby. He makes lots of mistakes including a corker last night. Yes he may play completely differently for McDonald, but why couldn’t he play like that for Hughes? After all he is a professional footballer.

 

Needs to be followed by Gent going.

 

Nathan Jones anyone? Would command a decebt wage but awful spells at Stoke and Saints have seen his stock drop.

Would be an ambitious appointment and his term at Luton cant be ignored.

 

Writting was on the wall. Some may say that he needed more time, but in football, when the players have given up on you, which was evident yesterday (an for most of the season) there's no coming back from it.

Naturally, I wish Hughes the best, he wasn't here for the fame, or the money or the glamour, he came because he wanted to get the job done and unfortunately, it didn't.

Next manager has to be attacking minded. The only time that Valley Parade has been a fortress was under McCall, who played attacking football. Park the bus does not work at Valley Parade. If Sparks decides to go for another big name whos reputation revolves around playing boring football that gets the job done (for teams who have lower expectations than Bradford City) then its only gonna end in one way, and thats tears

 

Because even if Hughes had delivered promotion I would still have been bored to tears.

Yes I want to get out of this league but after 18 months of steadily losing interest I'm now ready for a bit of excitement like Saturday.

 

For a guy with his CV in football he sure made some very weird decisions.

 

Totally agree. This is not something to celebrate. After Adams he was initially a breath of fresh air and I really wanted it to work out but this season has been a disaster so far and sadly things were clearly not going to improve.
Next appointment is massive but I really have no confidence in the club at all to get it right

 

Fatty has just ordered his taxi to Bradford.

 

After Rochdale away last season we were in prime position to push on and get automatic promotion, but for some reason the mentality seemed to be to just secure a play-off spot - which we almost blew.

In the play-offs we went 1-0 up at home then practically gave up, when we got back into the game in the second leg again the mentality was to stick.

Based on that, and his managerial career, it was clear to me by the end of last season Hughes was not the man to get us promoted, and he should have gone then. It is surprising how quickly it's completely gone to shit though.

 

Well after our encounters last season I've always kept an eye on this forum, good crack, decent fans and I've always been made to feel welcome.
However if you appoint those two Muppets my irrational liking of the Bantams might take a sudden and devastating dive, utter morons the pair of them.

 

It wasn’t just the Carlisle moment though was it? There where times after January last season were we should have kicked on and got an automatic spot but we carried on with the tepid football.

 

Thank you getting myself worked up for nowt as a few on here have said, unfortunately I won't be there Saturday but hopefully penciling the Wrexham game in.

 

I think most fans would.

So many questions how the hell has Truman survived? He was sacked, brought in as Adam’s number 2 and now part of another failed coaching staff.

Not one shred of humility from sparks and Rupp on what’s been another total mess up from them.

 

He's a bit inexperienced to be our next manager if I'm honest.
