How to get out of this mess!

This season we had Rahic next season we don't, I thought that bit was obvious enough not to mention it

 

We also need to replace key non playing personnel!! Without this we will struggle, we can’t just carry on ‘make do and mend mode’ forever. We have to have ring fenced monies dedicated to recruiting ppl who have the requisite qualifications for the job. We are a professional business, and although the current staff are doing their best, now is the time like the players where we need professional ppl to come in and completely reorganise this club.

 

Yes there will be many teams especially at VP wanting to knock us off our pedestal ala Accrington in the past.

 

just on the the point about bringing in proven league 2 players. Not only do they have to be proven, but they have to have performed recently which reduces the chances of signing a player on the decline. A lot of us though we were signing proven league 1 players last summer but you have to go back go back years since players such Wright, O'Connor, Scannel etc actually did anything of note and it shows. Going back a few years earlier than that you have players such as McLean and Yeates who sounded great on paper but were not that great by the time we signed them.

 

We need 1Andrew Davies, 1 Stephen Darby, 1 Rory McArdle, 1 Gary Jones, 1 Philip Morais and Hanson and Wells and we should make the play offs next season If only we could find these sort of heroes!!

 

Yes, indeed. It would be nice to focus on proven players on an upward trajectory, rather than those who have stalled, or gone in decline. Again, it all depends on available funding.

 

One thing we will have to cope with at home is 5 across the middle SM always struggled with that formation, and that's probably the formation that most away teams will play in this division awful to watch but effective.

 

Very true, but providing Bowyer can assemble a half decent squad - I'm sure he'll have a plan B, which McCall often lacked.
