How many of our players didnt care?

All of them - shittest team I’ve seen in a long time.

 

Even under Taylor some of the players gave a shit. Take out Killa from last season's squad and I'd agree that it was the worst group of bottle-jobs I've seen in 20 years or more.

 

I think I mentioned this at the time. Was weird Poleon wasn't involved, but then again, he was a striker on a bad run, and I guess he was just gutted that yet another player was scoring than him.

 

The idea that a player comes on the pitch and "doesn't care" is simplistic and subjective. We've no idea what was said to them before the match or what other issues they might have, which might explain this 'impression'

I've rarely seen a player who didn't care. I have, however, seen plenty who simply couldn't do what they were signed for and lost confidence

 

Especially so because if Wyke wasn't there then Poleon would've been the next player following up, ready to hit it straight at the goalkeeper!

Players who are low on confidence or quality are completely different to players who don't care. The players last season were certainly more in the former than the latter. We've all been trained to spot lack of desire in the years of Tommy Doherty etc.

But unfortunately will be able to try and pull the wool over our new managers eyes. I’m hoping as well as SGs retained list, he also left a “ship out” list too. Dom should be top of that.
