Utter rubbish. They can't recall him until the next transfer window. He might, however, be back at Leeds for treatment to his injury.

No disrespect to him but I hope we sign someone ready made up front when the new manager comes in and he’s surplus to requirements. He’s not ready. Should never have been signed to play so many games but here we are

The most damning thing about our current plight is that Omari would be an improvement on what we currently have.

Sometimes circumstance dictates that a player doesn't always fill his potential when on loan. Take Omari Patrick for instance, (yes i know he wasn't a loan player) been watching his progress at Carlisle under another set up and the lad has shown there is a half decent player there. Remember Ollie Burke now at Sheffield Utd? To be fair, Samuels has missed a few good chances but the shitshow odf Bradford City hasn't helped him. Brought here as the last piece of the jigsaw (well chosen words eh?) when he is a player very much finding his feet in professional football.

As you say, I suspect he will have returned to Leeds for treatment and rehabilitation. Their facilities will be head and shoulders above ours and Leeds will want to protect a prize asset.

However, once he's back under the supervision of the Leeds medical staff, it becomes their decision when he's available to play again. They wouldn't want us rushing him back as we've done with our own players if there's a chance of him aggravating his injury! Leeds will control the timescales, not us.

    We'll miss him.

Rather than rush them back and potentially ruin them ? Quite radical that.

    :joy: Like it.

However, Leeds operate like a big club.

    Brought their stadium.
    Building a NEW TRAINING GROUND
Hired one of the best managers in the world.
Have an identity on the pitch.
Owners that know the club keeps needing more investment, so sell shares to the 49's owner.
Change kit sponsor to one of the biggest manufactures in the world.

Now getting the rewards in the PL.

    Meanwhile at Bradford o_O

Unfortunatly Samuel's has shown little, although a young kid coming into a squad lacking confidence and some cases ability then expected to push on with his development was always a big ask.

Wish people would think for themselves. Still reading things and getting sucked in like a 5 year old.

He will be back at Leeds for treatment like you say mate.

He seems a good lad with a great attitude but doubt we'll see him again in a city shirt, hope i'm wrong though, hope he makes it....

Very good player at this level, but wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t make it long term in football. He seems very injury prone, every time he came back he got another niggle, very Ismail esk who was once subbed to be the first £100 million player.

If a club thinks a young player still has a chance of making it they care deeply. Loans can be great for players but they traditional fail more than they improve a player which is why clubs now are putting so much more focus on it. Most top clubs now have a loan manager (or even a whole team) involved in placing players, they look at the quality of the players in a team, the manager, the facilities etc. Even if the new manager might pick him if that manager's style doesn't fit with what Leeds want they will pull him back and send him somewhere that's a better fit.

The only way they are likely to not care is in the case of the likes of Samuel. He is almost certainly not getting a new deal. The loan is one of those loans clubs do as a favour to a player to try and give them options when he gets released so unless Samuel wants recalled they will most likely leave him with you

They've had two or three good seasons but were a complete basket case for a decade and a half before that and could easily go back if Bielsa leaves (or they don;t stay up this season)

We would have benefited from him, no question, unless McCall played him in midfield.

Which, thinking about it, was pretty possible... Maybe even wing back under Stuart

I thought this but maybe rules are different if it's classed as a youth loan?
