I don't think he will after that. His pre match interview was of a man on a mission, and that mission doesn't include having to mollycoddle a couple of inexperienced managers without a clue how to change things. Can't see them being here in the summer.

 

They have to be given credit to getting us safe and then getting us near a play off place even with the recent dire performances but anyone who listened to that interview who is not embarrassed for the guy really doesn't understand the game, not one thing he said made sense.

 

The clubs ambition was to remain safely in Div2 all along ' its just that we were in big trouble in December with the atrocious lack of recruiting quality and letting players like Vaughan go - they actually had to spend to help get us out of it.

 

12 points from 12 games Dave, back to relegation form, thankfully enough points in the bank.

 

It really doesn't matter who they put out any more. Our next relevant game is in August. And under new management.

 

They did really well early on. Fair play. Last third of season has been poor. I hate to ask for anyone to lose their job, but can’t see them taking us any further. Let them go gracefully back to the youth team.

 

We have 4 games left if these two are still in a job, to finish this horrible season they have to give our attacking players their heads we have nothing to lose, that was another very poor display tonight yet Tranmere didn't look anything special first half, they got lucky with the deflection and just did what they had to second half, unfortunately our poor use of substitutions didn't faze them.

 

Do you think they would go back? Collins was never seen again (although Drury is still here). The huge elephant in the room, is the new contract they signed just a few months ago.....

Successfully though that's the difference mate, Wellen's or not these two can't be allowed to continue after the Morecambe game I see little point in trying to persuade myself or anyone else they are capable of getting us promoted next season which is a must IMO.

Irrelevant of whether we would go for Wellen's or Adams would you stick with T&S to see out their present contracts, yes or no ?.

I think they should be allowed another transfer as they achieved the first part of the remit . Let’s not forget what a hole we were in when they took over. And I know any replacement will have failed somewhere or have no experience because we are league two.

The interview wasn't a good one reminds me of SM. One of those where he knows the team hasn't played well at all but can't come out and say it.

We didn't dominate any part of that match tonight and I must have been on the loo when those many crosses were flying into the box or we were moving the ball around it was extremely frustrating to watch.

Once again we have resorted to pumping aimless balls up the pitch to an isolated striker, zero tempo, zero composure, and absolutely no urgency in our play at all. Tonight highlights exactly why we aren't in the play offs some of the basic passing mistakes were absolutely shocking. If I have to watch AOC amble towards the halfway line in acres of space pass the ball to Wood only to get the ball back and then pump it up the pitch I might just lose it. Terrible to watch what happened to the team that could keep it on the deck and confidently pass the ball. Also wtf is going on with Rowe striker capable of banging them in few pain and sat on the bench = madness!

 

I would suggest give these guys time. Maybe if they lose the next two maybe time to say goodbye. But they have done better than most mangers.

we do need to remember.. after sacking five managers we have seen NO improvement. The only time we saw improvement was that unbeaten run we went on. I would actually disagree on wellens as he 100% need 2 seasons to get us up. He got swindon 9th then season after got 1st.
