    Angol is absolutely useless up front.

    Decent on the wing, given he's only any good with his feet, but up front when he's got to use his frame and win headers, you might as well put a head on a stick.

    Garbage.

    Paudie today was ten times the threat that Angol was. Glad he got his goal, too, after missing a sitter.

    Cook made such a difference when he came on I posted I'd have brought Cook on at half time but once he came on his presence kept the Salford defender busy, I'd take the lad Asante if Salford are short of a bob or two, seen the kid before and not impressed but today he was a danger with his pace every time Salford attacked.

    Cook was clearly struggling with his dead leg, he was limping from the minute he came on. He did very well though so well done him

    Yeah. I was going to say the same. Brilliant compared to the dross usually served up. Like how he clamped down on time wastiing especially when the lad of theirs blatantly booted the ball over the Bradford end after the ref had blown for something.

    Well you won't find many 21 year old central midfielders who have played as much game time as Elliot.

    80 career appearances, 78 of those were starts. As a deep lying midfielder, he isn't going to be an assist machine, and no, he doesn't score so many - but he's very positive on the ball and until recently wasn't really known for giving the ball away. But this season he's been guilty of that way too often for us not to have noticed.

    Perhaps that's why no actual offers have come in, despite his agent constantly linking him with moves to clubs in higher divisions and bringing attention in the way of articles in the press and scouts visiting Valley Parade. All that is good work by his agent, but where are the bids?

    Like I say, though, an awful lot of experience, seems to be the first name on the team sheet, and hopefully he comes good again before the end of the season.

    The thing is that players are largely immune from their performances whilst managers are expendable. I struggle to think of any other occupation where this happens.
    For sure the manager has some responsibility, but when Adams inherits 15 players, of the 25 man squad, then 60% are not his players and some that have come in, you wonder if they were actually down to Lee Turnbull, rather than Derek Adams.

    Bluff or no bluff, I don't believe a word he says. His post match comments regularly bear no relation to what's actually happened. It's all smoke and mirrors.

    Well the crowd is minus me for the first home game in a while. I am not ill, but have been looking after grandson, whose class at nursery reported 5 covid cases yesterday. Thought it best not to risk infecting others if it turns out he has it or has given to me, so stayed away and following on here.

    Same old, same old. The illusion of bright attacking play without looking like actually scoring, flaccid defending where the opposition don't have to do much to get a goal.

    Walker looks decent, but we need an entirely new back 4 and keeper.

    I'd say terrible defending by Canavan, thank God he couldn't drag him down as he tried or we would have been down to 10 men again.

    Excellent. Much more urgent and direct today. A new signing to replace Watt, and I’ll start to think about the playoffs again. Walker looked great and can only get better. Nice to have a happy Saturdar! HT/FT winner for me too at 32/1.

    Walker looks a good addition. I hope to god we're signing a quality CB and keeper though. And either Sutton needs to stay at right back, or we sign a good one.

    Because they were a man down and city were booed off the pitch at end of the first.
