Do you think we'd be getting all these injuries if we were top of the league?
Interesting how we've so many injuries when the going gets tough.

I've had this discussion with a friend, he refused to accept the argument due to being a happy clapper, but soft tissue injuries are easy to feign. I don't believe for a nano second that all of our injured players are genuinely injured. Just pissed off and want paying for doing nowt.

It's tough to sometimes assess soft tissue and minor strains so the potential to 'pull the wool ' is greater possibility.
But this combined with either poorer standards of overall fitness levels or unorthodox training combinations and over training could explain why we have so many problems.
I would hazard a bet that some of our weaker willed players have found excuses that they may not have used if we were pushing for promotion and the club was on a high, just my opinion.
Based on this I would give a little bit more credit to those who have been nearly ever presents in this shithole of a season, yes they might not be good enough but they haven't used it as an excuse to hide away

Apperley Bridge is next to a river and will inevitably be heavier ground due to increased water content. Over time, that will take its toll, either in training or under the greater intensity of a match. Does anyone know which of our squad hasn't been injured this year?

Probably more a case of training and conditioning methods than playing surfaces. It’s an area where we need to improve massively

Plymouth fan here. It looks a carbon copy of what happened at PAFC under the Adams times. Search the media on google and you will see the evidence for yourself. We sometimes had double figure soft tissue injuries. The medical staff at the clubs are at the mercy of a man (adams) that picks what they do, who does it and how long for. They dont have a say believe me. I thought training was as much about recovery these days Pep & Klopp say as much during short periods between games (why is it Adams gets them training on a Sunday and gets all the injuries?) It isnt baffling. He gets results but damage is player injurys.

A small part of a lot of reasons why players get injured disagree 'usual'. Agree that has impact 100% and PAFC still got injuries when DA had left. Isnt that football? Consider how hard it is to undo 10 months of ridiculous sometimes stupid levels of training just by changing staff or warm ups or managers or pitches. All the excuses. It takes more than one of those things and probably a lot more time until players recover from it. We often looked slow and unfit if anything which is against all what Adams wanted from his team and he probably hasnt learnt. 2 promotions though what do i know!! Hope it gets better, we know how you feel #PAFC
