He can’t build a defensive team, never has. There should be additional personnel on the non-playing side, down at Apperley Bridge this morning. They don’t need 6 weeks to get fit. Admit your failings and ask for help. That goes for all walks of life.

Team riding high full of confidence versus team low on confidence playing terrible football, with no settled side or formation. Could be a spanking.

Personally I feel we need to go 442 or 451 utilising Clarke in a support role. Employ the spoiler tactics, pack midfield, bank of 4 at the back, and stay disciplined. Evans or Hosannah right midfield. Watt might have to be dropped not sure he can do the physical side and technically gifted playmaker is a luxury right now. Please keep AOC no where near midfield, possibly right back. Ditch this flowing football approach this season for good, it doesn’t work, too many ball watchers and it’s often leaving us wide open.

I might be in the minority here but if we are going to play that I would have Sutton in midfield. I know its a risk because he is a red card waiting to happen, but he brings more energy and closes men down quickly

 

How anybody reads that T&A article today and thinks that's a guy that has a clear understanding of what he's doing is beyond me.

McCall said in his interview they haven't done any prep for the game today because one of the players is 50/50 so because he doesn't know if he's going to be available or not, they haven't trained because if he isn't available, they would have to set up differently. What the actual hell.

I’m the same.Currently working away in North Wales and due to start about 6 tonight.I would normally be devastated to not be able to either listen or watch the game.With this current shower it feels completely different.Will probably get so involved with the work that i forget we are playing only to remember about 9 ish.Quick look at the scores online.Slowly scrolling down the BBC website hoping against all expectations we are at best level.Big sigh of desperation after seeing the actual score. Then back to work and back on here after midnight for the usual post mortem.
Not felt this lethargic about the club for a while.Not a nice feeling.

 

Feck me sideways. I have tried to give Stuart every possible chance and then he does that to us. What on earth can he possibly see in DMH that no one else on the planet sees

My expectations are so low for this game that I'll consider anything better than a 3 nil defeat as a decent result.

 

Think any manager will know our weaknesses, it’s basically the same defensive line up for the last three seasons which leak goals for fun.

we are short on numbers, would be more than happy with a draw under these circumstances.

every team goes through bad periods, unless you have bags of cash which we don’t.

The team needs support not the constant bitching, some of this forum et al will feed back to the players who are already short of (skill) confidence.

some of us have been in the basement decisions before. It’s all part of football, you either support the club or not.
