We've been second best all evening. I can't argue the performance has improved slightly but at the level we were at that's still not enough to get anything against the majority of teams I'd suspect.

This is spot on. As underwhelming as our strategy for this season was - which was clearly just to ride out the season whilst minimising costs - to have not created a squad that could safely navigate the shocking standard of this league in the comfort of mid-table, is abysmal planning and execution by the club. I said it weeks ago; this is the worst squad I can ever remember us having. Worse even than the Jacko squad. It doesn’t have the resilience even be dour bout solid. And I have to say, McCall isn’t the sort of manager you want in a grind.

And we showed how to lose.

Look we are in deep deep trouble and if any game highlighted it then it was this game.

We huffed and puffed managed to score but you just knew that we would still lose the game. I didn't see 2 goals in us but I saw us losing 2 goals.

We lack quality on the ball and clueless on it. To top it off we put BRE upfront like its 1970(wasn't born in the times but seems like it happened in them days) and we didn't have any idea. It was POOR.

So now another defeat. 21st in the league! Manager been rewarded for failure. A joke of CEO appointment! An embarrassment of an owner. The club is a MESS!

I don't think we will go down but wouldn't be shocked. Bradford City deserve to go down! The club is a joke!

If McCall is going to prove any of his doubters wrong then this needs to start now.

I see his latest comment is that we need to be more solid... Yes and no, we need to be more solid but if by whacking the ball upfield and all it does is come back - then what is the point.

I'm praying for a draw, that in itself is an absolutely disgusting state of affairs.

Cheltenham's strong stats are the sort that City teams of old loved to take apart. Not this City squad I fear; I cannot realistically see anything other than a defeat in this one.

He is flip flopping. He doesn’t know what to do and is now panicking. We either get freebies in soon or we wait for January and hope we are not cut adrift by time the new recruits are in and on board

Im actually intrigued now as to how Mccall will "play it safe" tomorrow.

So far this season in the majority of games we have played five at the back. Along with those five defenders we have played one sometimes two defensive midfielders.

In our last 3 defeats we have managed what five attempts at goal, and on our way out of the cup on saturday we played the last 60 minutes with affectively one up front as samuels and DMH had been moved wide to stop the midfield being over run.

How much more safe can we get?

I don't wish him any ill will, but really, his behaviour of late is not what I would want from a professional involved with BCFC. Along with the Club..his stock is pretty low with me right now.

I feel for Donaldson a little bit. He is being absoutley slogged for a player of his age.

Look at the size of most of the Cheltenham team. Big, physical side, playing no nonsense football, to tactics they are obviously used to playing week in week out. Look at their position in the table. It doesn’t lie.
We showed improvement today, but these guys showed what is needed to win games.

Everyone knew injuries were going to be higher though due to the situation. It's poor planning knowing that to go for a small squad. Even if they were only on 1 year deals and wouldn't be renewed next season they should have had the biggest squad possible and then still had the youngsters involved.

Oh and not signing players with poor injury records as well would have been a good idea.

People keep saying its an improved performance, it isnt hard to improve on the shit thats been served up for most of the season. Were still utterly useless all over the park and been lead only one way by a clueless manager.

it was slightly better tonight, could not be any worse though.
Bre should have scored with that early chance and i still think the shove on the Don early doors was a pen , the ref was awarding free kicks for similar challanges.
All that said Stuart wanted the smaller squad and we are now paying the price. January is massive , lets hope for once we get it right or that its not too late.

Lots more effort, first half was decent, we were the better side. Lovely assist from Cooke, matched by a through ball to Hosannah. Two best moments in the game. The late goal first half hurt badly, but as I said, Hussey had the freedom of the city down our right side and was involved in the equaliser. Second half was less impressive as fitness waned, but the level of commitment was decent. To go down to a long throw outlines everything we already know - other teams have simple and repeatable routes to victory. We do not. Everything is a struggle. The games are hard work, and a lack of quality all over the pitch hampers us endlessly.

From random simple balls going horribly wrong, to a lack of shape, to being lopsided and vulnerable on the wings, to players like DMH being passengers, to the substitutions weakening us immensely...

If the squad sets out like that every game, they WILL pick up wins - but in an unreliable manner. Getting thrashed or losing unluckily was the expectation today, and so it came to pass. It just doesn't feel like anyone at Bradford City has enough urgency to address the massive gaps and glaring weaknesses properly, and a bit of 'bad luck' post January could see us out of the league

    Complacency has already killed us.

They did well tonight that was tough on them, saw some good performances against 2nd in the table, a harsh /lucky equaliser and we lost our way a bit second half and quality up front was lacking, but overall IMHO much much better. Keep plugging away and hopefully the reinforcements arrive in January.

The sky hasn’t fallen in and we are not down.
