    After having a great trip travelling around the west coast of America and ending in Vegas I’m now in Majorca. Come to the resort of S’illot every year and the same hotel which has been renovated and renamed (MIM Mallorca) brilliant hotel which is really reasonable. A wonderful place to relax and unwind. Got a great upgrade at reception which was the fraction of what it was on the Jet2 website. Leeds Bradford was hell travelling out which has been the only downside so far. Curious to see now we are back to normality where every one else is heading to this year? This isn’t an ego stroking/boasting exercise btw we have saved for a long time to do the America trip and possibly once in a life time experience.

    No real desire to fly anywhere just yet, hated the experience even when things were 'normal'.
    Staycations don't really appeal either, seems I'm just a miserable bugger.

    Me and Mrs bbb had our honeymoon at the Playa Moreia just over the little bridge.
    Been many times since with the kids.
    Beaches are brilliant and plenty of places to eat.
    Kids were treated brilliantly at a restaurant called Bi Ba Bo.Nowt special food wise but ok for a resort restaurant.

    We also went to Arcos playa and it was a bit of a shithole.

    Playa Moreia is standard self catering accommodation but clean and tidy with a nice pool.
    Not been for about 4 years.
    Is the guy who does the paintings with the spray cans still on the front as you walk towards Sa Coma?
    Kids were fascinated by him and used to watch for ages.

    Nice - a week in Port Grimaud and the Camargue and then 3 weeks at our place not too far away from yours. Pop in for a Pernod.

    Stuck in a dodgy hotel in Frankfurt tonight. Flight from Manchester was an hour late so we missed our connection to Bologna. Got to get up at 4.50 am to be sure of getting through security etc tomorrow. Praying that Lufthansa haven't mislaid our hold baggage.

    We are finally on the plane to Bologna, having been here since 5.30 am. It should have taken off 25 minutes ago but at least we're on it. Just hope our hold baggage is too.

    Off to Maderia for a week in August, fingers crossed as going with whole family and my mum is ill at moment so hoping she recovers over the next month enough for us to go

    Hold baggage arrived safely in Bologna with us. Pretty surprising considering the vast number of people at Frankfurt airport yesterday with lost luggage. Phew!
