Agreed. It beggars belief that a successful, wealthy, multi-millionaire would be so stupid.

 

We didn't have to accept his resignation which shows that Rhodes didn't have much faith in him either.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Hopkins family had a say in his final decision to resign,there's more to life than work and I think he was still commuting to Scotland when he could to see them.
If they have re located I stand corrected but his wife and family will have known how it was effecting him health wise.

He has gone in an attempt to kick start season ticket sales, They have been dreadful and the fans have not been buying in the numbers needed, A new manager bounce in results and expectations will hopefully increase the take up of season tickets or that is the hope

 

That's a big if - think he would need to stop us leaking goals first.

 

Disagree I support the club something I have done since 1979 as a very young kid but that doesn't mean I support someone I dislike should they get the job. People forget it's not that long ago his name was mentioned and the outcry from quite a few was there to see doubt it has changed.

And if he lost those first 3 games? What then? He is such a divisive character that fans would turn on him far faster than they did with Collins. That was by no means pleasant. He's completely the wrong person for our situation just by that fact alone.

The last thing we need is another divisive factor. Also, we cannot afford him. Remember his first 2 seasons at Rovrum? He went through 4 squads. There and Crawley where he also spent loads are the only successes on his CV.

 

Sadly I fear Rhodes is going to let Drury have a run at the job. We've already gone
through this scenario with Collins we can't risk another of this type. I don't like Evans any more than anyone else but he's one of the few that could save us from a relegation that will spell disaster for the club and will take years to get over.

 

According to reports Mr Rupp was over for last week end - there may have been some frank discussions - between Mr Rhodes, Rupp and Hopkin - with what we now know was the outcome.

Think the poster upset me because he was making out that someone cared more than someone else due to them working at the club.

We'll care extremely for Bradford City, money, where you live, jobs, history, what car you drive doesn't come into it.

Think too many are putting themselves first and no is the time we all put Bradford City first. We don't need a crowd pleaser as manager. We need the best man for the job that will get the best out of all the players.

Mr Rhodes being here is the biggest positive of the season so far make no mistake about that.
