Not if you rewind 8 years and it’s an FA Cup quarter final.

You can piss off some of the people some of the time but you'll never piss off all of the people all of the time.

One of the big problems with the Hartlepool game is the much reduced number of Away Tickets available.

Hartlepool have only released ‘Just short of 700https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2022/august/sold-out-hartlepool-v-city/

However they appear to have far more capacity.

I assume that this is down to crowd safety management.

Part of that is likely to be as a result of some City fans behaviour last season.

According to sources, they have reduced the capacity by around a third.

Here are references to Hartlepool’s ground,. They vary slightly and some may be a little out of date, but all of them suggest around the 1,000 ticket capacity.

Away fans are in the Smith & Graham Stand (aka Rink End) at one end of the ground, where up to 967 can be seated. https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/conference/conference-premier/victoria-park-hartlepool-united.html

Away fans visiting Victoria Terrace are located in the Rink End, with a maximum allocation of 1,000. https://www.awaygames.co.uk/away-day-guides/hartlepool-united-away/

Visiting supporters are situated in the rink end stand behind one of the goals. There's space here for just under 970 supporters. http://www.tothe92.co.uk/groundguide/hartlepool.html

Away fans are housed in The Smith & Graham Stand which was formerly known as The Rink End. With an all-seater capacity of 1,033 https://footballtripper.com/england/hartlepool-united-stadium/

So people may complain about the way tickets are distributed (it seems a reasonable system to me and I am losing out to some, who go more regularly), but the real elephant in the debate, is the potential of aggressive hooligan behaviour, significantly reducing the capacity, and as such the number of tickets available!

For anyone at that game last season, im not surprised they’ve taken action in the form of an early kick off / reduced capacity.
We didn’t see the trouble outside after due making a hasty exit with the kids because of the problems inside.
It was vile. Aggressive, pack mentality, clearly drugs and alcohol induced. The policing of it was poor on the night (let it escalate too far whilst watching on).
Unfortunately it’s decent fans who will miss out because of that minority (which by the way is unfortunately more than a handful)

Hartlepool has always been renowned for potencial trouble, but you're correct the more I see of some of our traveling fans the less I feel like attending away games.

I had bolders wizzing past my head after the game. The police just stood and watched.

Last season Hartlepool covered I’ve some of the front rows which reduced capacity. After last years behaviour I doubt they would consider allowing more fans to attend

Predictive text can be a pain, can't it?
But rather than write a new post to explain what you meant, if you click the 'Tools' button below your post, and then 'Edit', you can change the wording of your post to make it make sense.
I'm always surprised that more people don't use this function.

That option disappears pretty rapidly. I guess it is time limited or if someone else posts is then locked out.
