    4 people want to travel and ideally sit together. You following?
    2 people out of the 4 had 1050 points and so bought in Band A. You following?
    1 person had 950 points so bought 1 ticket in band D. Following ?
    We now have 3 tickets but one person sat on their own.
    The 4th person of our group had 940 points so had to wait until today. Keeping up?
    So rather than buy another single ticket and have 2 people sat separately, I was lucky enough to get 2 tickets this morning using another friends ST who never travels away.
    So we have the 4 tickets we needed albeit not all sat together and we have 1 spare which I’ve offered for sale on here.
    I hope that’s a clear and concise explanation your honour.

    Yes we can all see what you have done and why. It is another illustration of the shortcomings of this system. Your friend who never travels away now has more points than someone who does. I am pretty certain that isn't what was intended at the outset.

    Yet both 600 allocations didn't sell out before the season ticket without loyalty points bun fight. Maybe they aren't as loyal as their points suggest.

    To get 2 seats together yes because the club couldn’t / wouldn’t help and the risk of Hartlepool stewards being a set of twats and enforcing correct seats are sat in.
    Simple solution to this is unreserved seating at away games.

    One of the big problems with the Hartlepool game is the much reduced number of Away Tickets available.

    Hartlepool have only released ‘Just short of 700’ https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2022/august/sold-out-hartlepool-v-city/

    However they appear to have far more capacity.

    I assume that this is down to crowd safety management.

    Part of that is likely to be as a result of some City fans behaviour last season.

    According to sources, they have reduced the capacity by around a third.

    Here are references to Hartlepool’s ground,. They vary slightly and some may be a little out of date, but all of them suggest around the 1,000 ticket capacity.

    Away fans are in the Smith & Graham Stand (aka Rink End) at one end of the ground, where up to 967 can be seated. https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/conference/conference-premier/victoria-park-hartlepool-united.html

    Away fans visiting Victoria Terrace are located in the Rink End, with a maximum allocation of 1,000. https://www.awaygames.co.uk/away-day-guides/hartlepool-united-away/

    Visiting supporters are situated in the rink end stand behind one of the goals. There's space here for just under 970 supporters. http://www.tothe92.co.uk/groundguide/hartlepool.html

    Away fans are housed in The Smith & Graham Stand which was formerly known as The Rink End. With an all-seater capacity of 1,033 https://footballtripper.com/england/hartlepool-united-stadium/

    So people may complain about the way tickets are distributed (it seems a reasonable system to me and I am losing out to some, who go more regularly), but the real elephant in the debate, is the potential of aggressive hooligan behaviour, significantly reducing the capacity, and as such the number of tickets available!
