Absolutely. I couldn't agree more. If you've bought a ST you should get the points for every home game. All this does is encourage ST holders who can't attend to lend their tickets to friends in order to get the points.

It's utterly hypocritical to include non-attending ST holders in the official attendance figure but not give those non-attenders the loyalty points.

It'll be interesting to see whether points get added for ST holders who can't attend the Newport game this Saturday, as they were for the Doncaster game.

 

I mean this is clearly nonsense, I think he has probably hired someone to set up the site and arrange ticket sales and they are the ones failing, multi million pound companies have IT problems but you dont blame the CEO

 

That is impossible as one season ticket holder would have 2 against his card so try again . Not so loyalty cards really just buying for points when someone else could have bought and got points for same card they should scrap it and go 1st come 1st served then

 

If I had bought one of these daft 1903 memberships last year which meant I would have attended precisely zero extra games, I would have moved up 2 bands for Hartlepool tickets. So it's just another example of how this scheme is just thrown together.

The scheme is trying to do too much. It rewards away travel to only a smallish degree. What it rewards in spades is parting with cash to club coffers. To then use that to decide who gets an away ticket is asking for trouble.
People who don't by and large go away but can afford the cash spend large on everything so that if a future Chelsea away comes along they are sitting pretty.
Which means those of us who would like to go to Barrow etc are scrambling for tickets when they are released to season ticket holders.
The system isn't simple, isn't easy to run for the ticket office, and the ticketing website people clearly struggle with it. It affects supporter travel clubs and is I think rather unpopular with fans.
How it develops as the season progresses rather depends on what other point acquiring opportunities the club dream up next.

so what has changed except different people pissed off

 

You can piss off some of the people some of the time but you'll never piss off all of the people all of the time.

The reduced allocation from the 970 odd figure isn't down to City fan's behaviour last season. It was due to Carlisle fans who ripped out many seats and caused other damages.
Although City fans behaviour hasn't helped in the slightest as now the game is the highest police category with riot police and horses, and will cost the club 4X what it would've normally.

Did receive my ticket through the post this morning, cheeky sods put 65+ instead of student.

Always more of a suedehead than a mod - crombies, brogues, ben shermans, tonic trousers etc. I was still a kid when mods were in their heyday.

 

Thanks for the thought, but not being able to get tickets we have now arranged to visit friends this Saturday, so giving this one a miss.
