    @Bigrod@Bigrod - notice the "mud diamond" , every club, every season and still we managed to play on it. I know we've moved om but it makes the VP pitch of the last few years look almost billiard table green and smooth/ Love it.

    The picture is from 1975. Thing is that it was very bad in the centre although to the Bradford End, the corner bits look reasonable. At present the area between the Kop goal-NW Corner extending a third of the pitch is arguably worse than that picture.

    How strange.At around £500.000 for a new 4g pitch,you would have thought they would have lifted it for 're-sale.

    They were going yo but apparently there is only one machine capable of this in Europe and its being used in Germany at the moment and isn't available in time for them to have to pitch ready.
