    This new handball rule is a complete and utter joke. It is ruining the game. How can anyone in football think that this is fair?

    We're seeing penalty after penalty given for ridiculous handballs where the 'offender' cannot do anything about it.

    I thought yesterday against Ward was a shocker, the one today was even worse, unbelievable. Who the hell came up with a rule like that?

    wow, Steve Bruce just described the rule as a nonsense and that managers, coaches have got to get together, go see the people in charge and get it changed. Even though his side benefited from it.

    He's right though, as was Hodgson yesterday. The rule made sense last season and was applied properly. This new rule is so harsh, what is the defender supposed to do? You can't blame the referees as they are following the rule to the letter of the law it's just that the rule they're following is ridiculous.

    It needs to change very soon.

    No it didn’t make sense last season. It was way too much open to individuals interpretation to a point where most weeks we were seeing clear penalties denied when attackers had goals ruled out for minor things.

    This handball nonsense might just equalise the holding and pulling nonsense that defenders get away with constantly in the box

    The rule is about right, The players know exactly what they are doing with handball and artists in making it look accidental, The top players know exactly what they are doing and have cheated for years and got away with it,
