It’s something that shows such a weak attitude.
McCall did it all the time.
His pre match stuff was always about how good the other team are and how dangerous they could be.
We are worried about Grimsby (4th bottom) so we take out our most dangerous player.

This worries me about GA. A fit Walker is one of the first names on the teamsheet, yet he drops him after one of the best attacking performances (2nd half) we've seen in weeks. Is there a clause that Oyegoke has to play if fit, because we've doggedly included him when there was no need to.

And a major factor in that nearly season was Josh Cullen in midfield. Obviously we are not going to get anyone of that quality in League 2, but with his past experience Smallwood should have been the man to drive us forward from midfield but he's been a monumental let down.

 

A poor team of bang average 4th tier footballers will have the odd game when things just click. Seems Friday, everything clicked.

Quickly back to our drab watch so far today. Probably another win or two in us this season, but nothing to suggest today is a winning day based off this performance, so far.

Get Walker on for the start of the second half for Smith push Kavanagh up front with Pointon and Walker supporting, someone has to up the tempo thats was a poor first half.

 

Pointon had a stinker but surely he'd benefit from playing with Walker, the only other player with energy?

Spot on. But the shift from where we are, to what we'd need to be in order to push the top 3 spots, is seismic. It needs a cultural reset, New leadership at the club, likely new ownership, a squad overhaul, investment in the infrastructure of the club. Its a huge shift, and I have zero confidence we have the intent or means to make that shift.
