I've liked him since we appointed him. I think he's a great fit.

Will he and has he got everything right? NO. Does anyone ever in anything? Christ even Pep gets it wrong from time to time.

Will he do his best? Does he engage and speak well? Does he seem a decent bloke? Yes.

He knows the league, he now knows the players. We've seen enough to know that we're actually getting better and he is fitting in more and more.

I hate sacking managers. I didn't want Hughes gone. But we did it and here we are.

"MK dons didn't want him" yeh but who gives a shit about the soft southern franchisers? I'd love them in the playoffs. Imagine the story if we beat them over two legs. I would hope GA kneeslides after running the length of the touchline at stadium MK ala Jose for Porto.

I think we have much bigger problems than GA.

However GA is not the right man. You can make excuses for him all you want (some valid, granted) but he has far too many times started games tactically inept.

4-0 down at half time twice in his short tenure and christ knows how many early goals conceded.

We are that desperate we want to believe he can do a job but the faith and confidence in him is blind and without substance

You could be right mate, at this point I'm kinda past caring. The club is just a mess from the top down, an owner who doesn't care, a CEO with more soundbytes than David Brent, a manager who thinks it's clever to bench your best players, a fan base that didn't even react with Rupp in attendance and 5-1 down. Throw in a pitch that is a cross between the Somme and Blackpool beach and I give you Bradford City in 2024. Good luck selling those season tickets Ryan.

Before we sack another manager Gent and Sparks must leave. GA is working with one of the worst squads I’ve seen assembled here for a very long time. Hes chucking shit and hoping it sticks at the moment and that shows in his selections and tactics.
There is absolutely no point sacking Alexander and letting Sparks have another shot at bringing in another manager. He has to leave. Gent and Sparks CANNOT be allowed to oversee another squad build like the one we have had this season.

    This.

Until there are changes at the top I see little point in discussing the merits, or otherwise, of the manager.

I’m not a big fan of hiring and firing all the time, and I wouldn’t trust Sparks to employ a new tea lady let alone manager but his football sucks the life out of me similar to Adams’. I know a lot weren’t a big fan of Hughes and by the end he had to go, but at least we didn’t just boot it out of play or to the other team and tried to play a modern style of play which saw the line of Cook, Wright, Banks and Vernam go on their career best goal scoring returns. I can’t watch this style all next season and watch him remove young talent for ‘senior pros’ which usually means journeymen.

Look no further than South Yorkshire.
Doncaster were losing every week with supporters wanting him out but they stuck by Grant McCann now look at them.
My point is they could have so easily sacked him but they didn't and their form of late as been unbelievable they have even gone above Bradford in the league table with victory over highflying Wrexham last night.
We can sack yet another manager and change playing systems but remember the players still employed don't necessarily fit the bill no matter who we replace him with.

This clubs aim should be automatics in league 2, especially with the big spenders that are leaving. Playoffs is a lottery, the strategy of aiming for them is simply not good enough.

GA is the best manager we have had for years. He knows what it takes but he has to deal with lemons - especially in defence and particualrly midfield. He needs backing. Reduce the size and age of the squad and improve injury prone players and pace in the squad and we might do okay. Will it happen .... No !

Best manager who today hung his players out to dry with a formation and line up that defied any logic whatsoever. Sometimes a manger does things that have you shaking your head in disbelief, leaving your player of the season and top goal scorer on the bench should raise serious questions long term on his decision making.

Think it's way past time to stop blaming MH

Look closer at gent and his scouting/recruitment.

Cook gets lambasted on here at times but i'd put money on him burying that chance that Walker had today or the early chance Smith had. This apparent wonder performance against Wycombe means nothing, we had a zero to our name on the goals column that night, something Andy Cook gives you the best chance of changing.

He’s the main problem. Rupp I have my own issues with but Sparks has now been CEO for nearly 3 and a half years and we have seen constant decline. His position is untenable. He has to resign or be sacked immediately.

Cook losing his shit with the fans after the whistle the highlight of the night. Glad i stayed behind or i'd have missed the toxicity. I'll be honest i'm not sure i have the words to describe what i witnessed tonight An utterly pathetic performance in front of a pitiful crowd, a team of players that looked like they'd never played together. i don't think the players have any confidence in what the manager tries to do at Valley Parade.

Persisting with playing 6 defensive minded players at home to the likes of FGR and Notts Co is almost a sacking offence in itself.

However, I wouldn't trust Sparks to appoint next manager, so until Sparks has gone, no point in sacking GA at the moment

    Couldn’t agree more.
There have been a few serious red flags in recent weeks in team selection, in game management, sticking with tried and tested (failed players), not giving certain other players a chance, tetchy interviews

But it strikes me as Sparks and Rupp have left Alexander out to dry and is starting to cop for some of the flack that should be aimed at those in charge off the pitch.

I’ve skipped over the last few pages but anyone wanting GA sacked now needs their head testing. Sure I said in January he’s not the man for us despite being a decent bloke, but while Ryan Sparks is still the CEO no further managerial appointments should be made, people really do need to learn from history and common trends it’s so obvious.

Get a new CEO in then sack him before pre season, in an ideal world. But this club is a complete mess.

It's certainly a frustrating time to be a Bradford City supporter young or old absolutely no good news stories coming out of the club whatsoever just negativity day after day fuelled by consistent bad management decisions from the powers that be.
Mentally the fanbase is shot at the least said about that the better. I've witnessed enough verbal altercations between supporters of our club this season, in fact more than any other since I started following City in the late seventies a very sad but true reflection of how attitudes can change when the success you crave as a supporter is no longer in front of your eyes.

    Fair point.

It’s been a massive issue for the last 3 or 4 years as well.
Just had a quick look and our 2nd top scorers in the last 4 seasons (including the current one ) have scored
    5 goals, 6 goals,8 goals and 6 goals.
No way are you finishing in the top 3 with those figures, unless it’s 5 or 6 players who are chipping in with 6 or 7 goals each.
We normally get 1 or 2 with those sort of number.

Cook has to do all the heavy lifting and yet still gets torn to pieces while his blank firing teammates get away scot free.
I was convinced that Pattison was the player that could chip in with double figures but unfortunately he has been unavailable for most of the season.
What’s really sad is that his 2 goals in 9 games is still 2 more than Smallwoods 0 in 34 games.
Not a specific pop at Smallwood and Gilliead but they have 3 goals between them this season.
These are 2 of our regular starting midfielders over the last 2 seasons and neither have looked anywhere near scoring the amount of goals that they should.
What’s even sadder is that this issue has been flagged up on numerous occasions by numerous posters over the last 2 or 3 years.

Cook needs help and he’s getting absolutely none from his teammates.
