    Great gesture. Had the pleasure of meeting Billy for a 15 min chat when both our kids were playing in a football tournament. Just after he left City the first team around - he was gutted about it. Clearly had a strong connection with the club and a lovely bloke.

    In reality most footballers don't really give a shit about who they play for, its just a job to them but Clarke really did feel an affection for the club. Met him once and can only echo what you said, he's a really nice fella.

    Agreed. I think I'd feel really bad taking the shirts off him when they clearly mean a lot to him.
