I thought we were excellent tonight. Very good result and a very good performance to go with it. There haven't enough performances this season that have passed the 'eye test' as to what promotion quality looks like, but this was one. Defensively resilient, did the ugly stuff well, controlled the game, purposeful possession, urgency and forward running, a consistent goal threat, plenty of shots on goal/target, we attacked from different angles, clean sheet. No one below a 7 tonight and plenty of 8s.

Costello, I thought had his best game so far. A curious one because his finishing looks erratic and rushed, but some of his all round play looked a cut above League 2. Signs that he and Cook could form a real partnership.

Really encouraged by what I saw tonight. The key now though is whether we can really kick on and put a run together and really sort our home form. Every time we've put ourselves into real contention, we drop a clanger. That's the challenge now - go and get that home win on Saturday and we could then get on a real roll.

Right, great performance tonight. Stubbs excellent in nullifying Hawkins, Walker, Platt and Costello (whom run the lines non stop) very good but the highlight of the game, Cook spins on a 6 pence, shows the defender, drinks..... Goalllllllllll.... Right in front of it

Big up to the 363 tonight. Good noise and happy as Larry walking down the Priestfield Road.

    Up the chickens

Really??? Honestly I must be either watching a different game, or my expectations are lower. I think we’ve been quite lively, and lo and behold we’ve now scored

and the most pleasing aspect? Not loads of passing backwards and sideways

Well I've just landed in Gillingham and of course its pouring it down. Luckily I only live an hour away but fair play to you mad bastards coming down here on a Tuesday night from Bradford.

Big plus if Nichols and Dieng are out for them. Think a goal either way swings it and with Cook, I'd back us. Win at all costs tonight.

    Really good performance, that.

Very impressed with how the forwards played tonight, lots of clever flicks, great movement, enterprising runs!

That might be the best performance of the season, that.

Walker dishes it out and takes it back. Great player with a old school attitude. Made a massive difference to our play since coming back

First time I can remember for a long time us bullying a side. We've really turned the screw this second half.

That's a very impressive performance and result from a difficult looking fixture.

Managed the game very well and never in danger of conceding really .

Sort the home form out and we have a real chance of promotion

The players brought in January have made a massive difference. That and the return of the impressive Walker has changed our season. Stubbs and Clayton have been game changers, both never shut up. Something that Harry Lewis admitted we lacked after the Rochdale defeat.

Proper performance that tonight. For once we bullied a team and did the dark arts well which is something that we definitely needed to improve on.

Stubbs was outstanding against Hawkins and killed all of their attacking threat. Other than lumping it to that donkey they had no idea whatsoever.

We looked dangerous everytime we went forwards and had some good opportunities outside of the goals. Their defence was really poor and Ehmer should retire after what Cook did to him for the second goal.

A two goal lead was always going to be game over so was nice to get it early in the half which allowed us to comfortably see the game out.

Overall, thoroughly deserved win but we need to back it up on Saturday and for the rest of the season at VP.

Safe travels to my fellow Bantams up the M1. Good atmosphere in there tonight despite there only being 300 or so of us.
