I should go for Hertha Berlin, capital city, olympic stadium, constant under achievers !
However the Union Berlin story is far, far better.

 

My wifes grandad was born in Darmstadt so i guess thats my team. Either that or one of the Berlin team where her great grandad was born.

 

If it's Berlin, has to be Union, proper fans, none of this upgrade the parade stuff,they gave blood!

Only German team I have ever seen is Borusia Munchengladbach in about 1970 at Lxxds they were not very good. It is my intention to keep it to one.

 

Dortmund all the way, massive support, yet always come second to the overhyped popular team from Munich.......they caused me to fall out of love with City for around 12 months, in 2012 I watched Dortmund v Munich on the Sunday, Dortmund wrapped up their last title that night in front of 90,000 mental fans, flew into Southampton on Monday, went to watch City at Aldershot on I think the Tuesday could have been Wednesday. It rained I shivered, That night also cemented my view that Robbie Threlfall was the single worst player to pull on a city shirt.

 

Do you think he might be worth mentioning to Stuart?

I remember seeing FC Twente Enchede at VP.

I think we won 3-1.

Remember they had a little bald winger, he was quite amazing.

I'd have to go with Hamburg, went on a weekend break and it is a beautiful city! Took in a Hamburg vs Bayern Munich game, great atmosphere and a cracking stadia too. Would be my luck that I travel all that way to see a 0-0 game though!
