    "It's Bradford City, massive club, stadium we're in now and the pull of the supporters."

    "We aim to give it a good go. As I said to the players, if I didn't believe I wouldn't be here."

    "I enjoyed watching Joss Butler smash the Windies about but I was itching to get back."

    Pointed out got out of relegation trouble with Blackburn

    "Experiences we've been through at Blackburn and Blackpool hopefully benefits us here"

    Happy with contract length for now: "It's about getting us out the position we are in. We can address all that in the summer."

    "My focus is just these 11 games. We've got some quality footballers in there - I've seen it in the two days of training."

    "I'm excited with the squad and what we've got. We've got to work very hard on the training ground to put it right on the pitch."

    What would you say to disillusioned fans?

    "I understand totally. It's a position nobody wants to be in."

    "We want to get this place rocking again by putting in performances. As long as the supporters see effort from the players, they will be behind us."

    How long to accept it?

    "They got on touch on Sunday afternoon, watching little nephew play. By the time he scored his goal that was my decision made.

    "Once he scored, I could clear off and take the call."

    "I was aware once David left, did my homework like all managers do. There are areas we can work on to improve the players - we've got goals in the team."

    Two home games to start with against promotion-chasing teams.

    "They are the best games. Everybody is fighting one way or other and we've got to try to take some points."

    Bowyer now going to do one-on-one interviews. Will be more on our website later this afternoon

    He's just on his way back from the training ground after watching a mix-and-match under-23s side beaten 2-1 by Huddersfield under-19s.

    George Miller scored the City goal for a side that also included Josh Wright, Jermained Anderson and Joe Riley.

    It shows how much my mood has dropped about the club when these pressers from staff and players mean absolutely sweet FA to me. The amount of football cliques I've heard/read over the past season has been enough for me to last a life time.

    That being said, Gary has my full support and I hope we can get back to winning games of football more than once every 2 months.

    Clean slate, complimenting the quality of the squad, says there's goals in us. I think that's the best approach, you cant come in and start slating a team you've never worked with before. Hope he has the bottle to get us performing, even a marginal increase in performance quality could make all the difference. That's my optimism levels depleted for the week :cool:

    No one along side of Bowyer at the press conference, you'd have thought we'd have a representative from the club along side him, rather than plonking him at a table with a few mikes and no senior figure with him, welcome to Bradford City Gary.

    Rhodes works hard behind the scenes nobody can complain if he dislikes being in front of the camera.
    The club does now need a new frontman if nothing else to promote the club and push season tickets which is going to be a difficult sell

    I can't speak for him, obviously, but given how passionate about the club he is, and how he still tweets a lot about bcafc, I'd be fairly surprised if he turned the role down should it be offered
